Great German sausage and fried pork slices highly recommended. Also this place open when the rest closes on weekends so it's a good spot to grab a beer. read more

Food was not great. Beer was quite bad too and the glass tastes like cleaner. Not sure what the other reviews had but really not recommended. Unfriendly staff too. read more

Had a very enjoyable meal here. The atmosphere is one of a true Bavarian brauhaus.The waitstaff was so accommodating. Unfortunately everything we wanted to order was already sold out at only 7pm, but the food we did order was tastey. read more

Im Herzen von Coburg, nicht weit vom Marktplatz, lockt das Brauhaus zu Coburg mit Gastlichkeit und vielerlei Schmankerl aus Küche und Keller. Unser Coburger Traditionslokal, nahe dem Marktplatz, ist Teil eines schon im 14. Jahrhundert erwähnten historischen Gebäudes. Nach vielen Recherchen mit großem Aufwand restauriert, bietet das "Brauhaus zu Coburg" mit seinem Biergarten heute platz für bis zu 130 Personen, ist Treffpunkt für alteingesessene Coburger und Gäste aus aller Welt. Mittelpunkt der Genüsse ist zweifellos die Bayrisch Fränkische Küche. Darüber hinaus gibt es auch leichte, genussvolle Gerichte und natürlich Klassiker der bayerischen und fränkischen Küche.

History

Established in 2010.

Nach komplettem Umbau der seit 1974 bestehenden Gaststätte Klosterschänke 2010 zum Brauhaus zu Coburg, entwickelte sich diese sehr schnell zu einer der beliebtesten Gaststätten in Coburg. Durch den Erwerb des Nebengebäudes, sowie dessen Ausbau zur Brauerei, kann nun das Brauhaus zu Coburg als einzige Gaststätte in Coburg und Umgebung, die Original in Coburg gebrauten Biere ausschenken und verkaufen. Exklusiv für unsere Gäste, besteht natürlich auch die Möglichkeit, das eine oder andere in Coburg gebraute Bier zu kaufen und mit nach Hause zu nehmen.

Die Einrichtung ist mit ihrem bayerischen Flair sehr einladend und damit außergewöhnlich, einmalig in Coburg! Ich war bereits des Öfteren im Brauhaus und wurde immer sehr freundlich von der Bedienung umsorgt, was natürlich auch ein entsprechendes Trinkgeld verdient hat, dass ich in solchen Fällen sehr gerne gebe! Die Auswahl der Speisen könnte besser sein, ist aber ausreichend. Die Grundgerichte könnten für meine Bedürnisse ruhig ein wenig mehr an das bayerische Ambiente angepasst werden. Hat mit dem Brauhaus in München wenig zu tun. Insgesamt eine normale bayrische Kneipe in der es sehr laut ist und keine Musik gespielt wird - dafür Preise recht gehoben, aber insgesamt kann man das mal machen. read more
