The restaurant is surrounded by trails around Parata tower, which is a local attraction and frequented both by tourists and locals. So by definition the restaurant serves hikers (like me) who want to eat back the calories we just burned on a hike, so attire is pretty casual. The service was good - they have indoor and outdoor (covered) seating. The food was standard French fare - nothing crazy fancy, but very tasty all the same. I got mussels with fries, which was very nice. And then I sat back and enjoyed THAT VIEW!!!!!!! One small note is that I believe their name now is "brasserie sanguinaire". I would totally come here again if I were ever in town. Although most people drive here I think, I took a bus from downtown that lets off nearby - it's quite walkable from that point.

I ordered the seafood salad, which was delicious and so different in a good way from what I'm used to back in the USA. I finished off the meal with an espresso which was rich and creamy even by French standards. Service was a little slow but extremely friendly and it was the lunch rush so I don't fault them.

We sat outside but it definitely had a hipster vibe inside and out. I was actually really pumped when I saw all the other food people were getting but it didn't quite turned out how I expected. The burger itself lacked a lot of flavor. I definitely tasted the cheese and the meat but thats really it. I think it was the cheese that might if been overtaking a lot of the other flavors. I couldn't taste the onions or spread that it was supposed to come with so I think maybe just dialing back on the cheese would be key. I think you should taste more meat since you have both the burger and the pulled pork. But there should definitely be more layers than just meat and cheese.
