If any back/spine/neck/nerve/head issues apply to you, get a referral (she is referral-only for new patients) and make an appointment with her immediately. She will find what other doctors probably failed to find and be able to help get you on the right path quicker then anyone else could. Pay out of pocket if you have to. I've never met a more thorough, compassionate and innovative doctor in my life that's first response isn't just to cut you open. Let's start with something important: her office informed me she runs late because she spends a lot of time with her patients. Sounds, fair right? Most doctors run late. With Dr. Blades, I had an 11am appointment with a requested 10:45am arrival. I wasn't seen until almost 3pm. Yes, you read that right. Next time, i'm bringing an arsenal of snacks, my laptop, and a pillow to snooze in the exam room. That was a long time. I felt very drained by the time it was my turn. But once Dr. Blades got to me, and we concluded our appointment, I didn't care. I would've waited all day for her. I've never hugged a doctor in my life until her. She'll spend as much time with you as you need (she doesn't rush) and won't try to just prescribe meds and send you on your way (like many doctors often do). She really studies everything and even went out of her way to personally make a few calls to doctors she thought would be of benefit to me. If you seek a doctor for any of the above, you know how draining this sector of medicine can be. I wish I found her sooner and I hope this review will help others find her more quickly then I did.

Finally, get the dentist to come in, and our entire conversation went: him: "oh yeah, I can pull that tooth out no problem, about a 10 minute procedure. Do you have any questions?"" Me: "guess not. " Him: "Great, im leaving in 10 minutes, so we can't get you in today." It did raise a red flag since I wasn't there to get the tooth pulled. My regular dentist can pull teeth. My regular dentist sent me to a surgeon because it couldn't be pulled. A surgeon thats a 45 minute drive away. So 2 days before my next appointment (3 wks after consultation, mind you), I get a text that they aren't in network with my insurance. After making the mistake of going to a mini clinic and being told I had a viral illness, I asked my cousin who her doctor was. She didn't even hesitate to recommend Dr. Azar. She had been seeing him for many years and even worked with him as a nurse at one point. This is a very thorough physician. Dr. Azar asked me a lot of questions about my past health concerns, my current medications, and if I had any triggers for asthma. This sounds like it's a simple routine examination, but it really wasn't. He listened carefully to my chest, then my gut when he commented that he heard something unusual going on in what he assumed was my aorta--it was! I had had open-heart surgery the previous year to replace a couple sections of aorta that had developed aneurysms. Big points for taking the time to listen! He heard something going on in my lungs, which he knew right away to be bronchitis. I had it pretty bad, too, so he gave me some very strong antibiotics and sent me on my way. I was back 10 days later as a follow-up at his request. Good thing I did. I had to get another round of antibiotics, but before I finished with him, he asked me when the last time was that I had a full physical. It had been well past a year, so he ordered up a blood draw and scheduled me to return for the physical. I was impressed with his medical acumen, but also his bedside manner was kind and welcoming.
