WARNING! READ ENTIRE REVIEW FOR ALL DETAILS…read more Jesse did a home inspection for us and he told me prior to the inspection how he would look at every detail throughout the property and that he would provide photos etc. The day of the inspection came, I got a call from our realtor 8 min before the inspection was to start and she said that he had finished and was leaving. We went directly to the property within 3 min and caught him prior to his leaving, I thought this was so incredibly unprofessional for him to: (1). not arrive at the scheduled time (2). not plan on reviewing his findings with us (who were his clients!) (3). dismiss his behavior as being "normal" (Our realtor was not happy with this either) After I explained that I had traveled over 1,000 miles for this inspection and I wanted a full review he started to tell me "all" that he had already done.. like open cabinets and check floors and things... The only thing he said was a problem was that there was a "double tap" on the electrical panel. He said this in front of the buyer, the realtor, AND the seller (inappropriate for an inspector to do) The seller agreed to fix the problem and we were ok with that. How ever, Jesse DID NOT include this in his inspection report!!! Can you believe that?? (I am checking into this with florida law, but I think that might be considered fraud!) After getting the report and all of his "photos" I noticed that he did not include any photos from under the structure, which he said on the phone prior to the inspection that he has someone that crawls under it to do that inspection (which was never done, nor any photos were taken or on the report) When confronted on the phone after getting the report, Jesse used foul language and was VERY UNPROFESSIONAL in his treatment of us as his clients. I feel a strong need to inform the public of his behavior and unprofessionalism. (Let alone the missing electrical problem he stated in person but excluded on the report) PLEASE be VERY careful before you consider hiring him. To also add a bit of background, I have been a professional realtor for a long time and have sold over 2,000 homes and have been on over 1,000 professional home inspections, which gives me some perspective on him and what he did, this is the first time I have encountered such behavior and I have seen a lot!

I hired Jesse Carr To inspect the 10 year old home I was about to purchase. He found no issues…read morewith my home. In fact, this was his summary statement: "This is a very attractive, well built, 2005 model home that has had good maintenance. There are a few cosmetic items of repair such as the hair line cracks in the stucco on the outside of the home. There is a crack in the patio floor. The light in the master bath commode stall is hanging down from the ceiling. There are no major problems." Based on his inspection I purchased the home. Upon closing, I immediately encountered several issues,. 1. Air conditioner - needs replacement. It has mold, the motor mount is rusted through, needs FREON, etc. 2. Foundation crack the length of the house and across part of the house in 3. Water issues - no gutter or flashing in the rear of the home. Issues at the corner near the patio as the lack of proper drainage causes water to poor directly into corner of patio. Boards are deteriorating and the water may be what has caused the crack in the slab. 4. Roof mold needs immediate pressure washing, sealing and mold treatment 5. Several broken tiles on the roof 6. Master toilet repairs - running constantly, needs new guts and seat 7. Master bath mirror light broken (not the light Jesse mentioned) 8. Master bedroom ceiling fan needs repair 9. Refrigerator door seals broken All of these issues should be noted by any home. I am paying thousands of dollars for repair of items I was not made aware of. Jesse robbed my of my opportunity to negotiate repairs or a price adjustment. I requested my $400 back for the inspection and payment for repairs, but he declined to do anything to right this wrong. DO NOT HIRE JESSE CARR!

He was professional, thorough,…read moremeticulous, and, most importantly, an excellent communicator throughout the entire process. His attention to detail was impressive, and he found issues I never would have noticed on my own. Having the inspection completed 2-3 weeks before closing was extremely valuable because it gave the builder time to address the punch list before our final walk-through, which gave me much greater confidence in our home purchase. Michael was very methodical in every part of the inspection. He checked outlets, switches, airflow, paint touch-ups, the breaker panel, attic insulation, the exterior, and even used a drone to inspect the roof. On top of that, he delivered a detailed 61-page report the very same evening. I highly recommend working with Michael. His communication skills were excellent, and his walkthrough was incredibly helpful, informative, and absolutely worth attending.

He inspected 3 homes for us and saved us from 2 major financial disasters one with hidden mold and another with unpermitted work and foundation issues. His reports are same‑day, incredibly detailed, and he explains everything clearly. The inspection package includes HVAC and pest pros who are just as sharp and professional, all for one great price. By the 3rd house, we finally found "the one," thanks to his vigilance and still were able to get a credit from the seller based on items he detailed! Hiring Direct Inspections multiple times was far better than hiring the wrong inspector once and finding yourself in a money pit. Truly a master at his craft and the best you could possibly hire. The only regret in purchasing our new home is that we'll miss his sound advice but know that we can confidently say we found the one that lets us worry less and enjoy more... finally.
