The major drawback of this location is that it cannot be easily accessed if heading south on State Street due to the medians in the road. A left turn at a light, followed by a U-Turn is required. In an area that is not flush with convenient stores, this makes the location, well, not very convenient during rush hour traffic. Coupled with the new traffic patterns on this section of State Street you could find yourself taking longer to get to a pump than it takes you to fill up and grab some beef jerky and a scratch off ticket. You can follow the road behind the Monroe in order to get southbound on State, again waiting at a congested light. The inside of the store is brightly lit and always well stocked. The outside area also includes an air compressor, which is free if you have a Duchess loyalty card.

This is a pretty solid gas station in an area with numerous businesses. The station itself has access from both Sunbury as well as Valley Quail. There are numerous pumps and plenty of parking spots. The parking lot and all the pump stations are extremely well lit. The inside of the store is very clean and bright. There are plenty of choices for drinks and snacks. The attendants here are all extremely helpful and courteous. On my first visit, the young lady at the counter signed me up for their rewards card and explained it to me, advised me to ensure I registered online, as well as showed me on the receipt how I received points for that visit.

Pumps are clean, although fuel spills could use a bit more attention, to avoid tracking the mess from your shoes to your vehicle. Self serve washer fluid and squeegee station is usually available. Like most others, patrons would benefit from dumped/rinsed buckets, instead of topping off grey, filthy fluid with new blue. A nightly rinsing of squeegee's would help. To Kroger Fuel personnel, please understand that this is the equivalent of being asked to wash a months dishes in the same dishwater, with the same sponge. Products are limited, as most walk up window cashiers are. Gift cards have dwindled down to Kroger cards only, if at all. In summary, this is a gas & go (carefully). If you want more, you should go somewhere that staffs more than one individual at a time.
