The reason for the low stars is because this gas station is small and it's a tight squeeze. Considering that it's next to the freeway, you would think that this gas station would be larger (and it does get a ton of business). The gas isn't the most expensive in the area but it's definitely not the cheapest. It's about 10-20 cents fewer than the truck gas station off between exit 9 and 10 but it's about 20-30 cents more expensive than the gas stations down Hope Street (not Shell). So in short, it's very convenient but definitely not your cheapest option.

In my experience though it has been stale for the most part. However they have a pretty good selection of name brand snacks. They are typically clean, however I have noticed quite a few people coming in with no masks on and they have just been allowed to walk around freely inside. Also this location use to have the best prices in the area, they have slowly been creeping up. Now they are slightly higher than some other gas stations in the immediate area. At the time of this review it's $2.37 reg, $2.65 mid, $2.95 prem. There are better shell locations if you go further up. But if you are in Stamford and in a rush. They are right off the highway at exit 6. Check them out for yourselves.

It's all full service, which is weird, since we're in neither New Jersey or Oregon, but it's not any more expensive than self-serve, so that's fine. When I scheduled my first visit to this service center after a friend's recommendation years ago, I…read morewas expecting the typical "go in for an oil change and come out with an expensive list of car problems" scenario that we've all run into. I had no idea that several years (and several addresses) later, I'd travel "over the river and through the woods" just to make sure my car is cared for by these guys only! This is a family run business where the staff knows their customers by first name and they remember your car when you call them on the phone to make an appointment. They return your car to you in better condition than it was when you dropped it off. One time, they even touched up some scratches on the side of my beat up old Hyundai for me. My car was probably the least valuable vehicle they'd worked on all day and they were very busy. But, they did that for me to help spiff it up a bit. I was thrilled. At one point, they put in a new headlight in for me and as I arrived home, I could see on the wall of the garage that the light was mis-focused and pointed up. I drove back to the service station to ask them to fix it. Despite the fact that they'd already closed (I was the last pick up for the day), they fixed it for me immediately - and with a smile. After bringing my car to the dealership for a "soft brake" issue, I was told that it was the design of the car that made the breaks that way. My gut told me otherwise and I brought the car to Soundview who discovered that I needed a new master cylinder. By the end of the day, my car drove like new and I have not had a problem since. The main office area is decorated with family pictures and lots of U.S. Military propaganda that clearly shows their appreciation for their country and those who serve it. Being the daughter of two Military personnel, I just love seeing things like that. Everyone that they have working either at the gas pumps or in the office is extremely pleasant and at the very least can deal with people. Try finding that in any old service station... Usually, I have more of an IQ in my pinkie toe than those behind the service desk at the dealership... I trust the people who own this business and their employees. They are very respectful of me and my property. I've had a wonderful experience with them and am happy to recommend them to anyone looking for a good service station.
