This store is no longer a RaceTrac, but a RaceWay; a franchise of the RaceTrac corporation. What's…read morethe difference besides the name? Well usually when a RaceTrac store isn't performing well enough they franchise it out to some poor sap and slap the RaceWay name on it; then the new franchisee becomes an indentured servant to RaceTrac and pays RaceTrac royalties and what not to operate a RaceWay gas station. Some owners take a lot of pride in their RaceWay store and remodel them and fix them up really nice, bringing them up to speed with a more modern convenience store look and feel. Well this owner pretty much has slapped the RaceWay name on the store and that's about it. The restroom here was very nasty; you were better off not washing your hands. The inside of the store had trash lingering around by the drink machine, and the store could use a good sweeping inside and out; empty beer cans and trash outside. But overall it is the cheaper gas on this stretch of road and they have all your convenience store needs inside. So it does the trick.

I was looking for a Starbucks iced coffee, which I discovered too late was in a separate, small fridge next to the hot coffee, rather than in the cooler with the rest of the drinks (I ended up with Dunkin Donuts iced coffee). The guy at the register did the bare minimum of taking my money. However, it was the restrooms that were truly alarming. The ladies room is way in the back corner (which already sets off nervousness for any sane woman). It was not terribly clean. And the stalls...did not latch. As in, I went inside, shut the door, and realize there was no mechanism in place with which to secure the door. Needless to say, I did NOT use the facilities, but beat feet back to the car and to the nicer gas station across the street. Avoid, avoid, avoid, at all costs.
