BP Bridgeman Place is in Bolton town centre, a short walk away from the bus/rail station. They have a small shop which as a Subway inside, and a coffee machine as well as Amazon Lockers, so the overall facilities is OK.
Petrol is a tad expensive here, pretty common for BP, I did find the petrol prices weren't as bold and obvious and the sign outside was much smaller than most other petrol stations, I didn't notice it at first anyway. Prices are also high in the outlets and the store.
I wasn't impressed with the service either, a man who worked in the service station seemed to come over and shout over me in a foreign language to talk to the Subway staff, I get they're bored as it was a quiet day but they seemed to wait until a customer was actually there in order to shout, and it left me feeling rather uncomfortable.
There wasn't much of a parking area for people who just wanted to go to Subway or go into the store without getting petrol, without feeling like getting in the way.
I do find it strange that on the websites of businesses located here including Subway and Amazon Locker, they call it "Shell Bridgeman Place", my only guess is that this was recently a Shell garage before being converted over to BP, it still was pretty confusing as I was expecting a Shell Garage here.
3* - OK, the location in the town centre is handy, as well as housing a poor Subway branch but still one of the few non-halal stores in the area. read more
