I been going to this bowling alley for years and always had fun! I bowl the most during summer time because of the bowling pass that allows you to bowl 2 games everyday with free shoe rentals! This place offers shots, food, hard liquor, arcade games and a clean restroom! Fun for everyone! I got bowlero giftcards from Costco and was able to use it here! I was a part of a 10 week bowling league here and they would oil the lanes for us before our games. Service is great! The staff here are helpful! Thanks Kathy ! They really took care of us!

This is a huge bowling alley and yet... there was a 45 minute wait on a Wednesday at 8:45 PM! To be fair, there was a league taking up many of the lanes... HOWEVER, when we waited in line to get an alley - we were quickly told to wait. "There are no alleys right now. Can you just wait on the side until 9:30?" and we were so confused because we saw other people get their names on a waitlist... but not us! They quickly brushed us to the side. We didn't end up bowling until 10 PM. The good: + Clean bowling shoe rentals. Couches were also clean and you see staff constantly wiping down tables. The bad: + The price of rentals is INCLUDED in the unlimited bowling package, so even if you bring your own bowling shoes - you would pay the same price. + Not many different bowling ball sizes. + The lanes were really dark with poor lighting. You can hardly see the markings on the floor.

Lip service. I sent them an email and got ghosted. This is why nothing ever improves here.

The overall service changed since the last time I came here. Everything is much more organized. The cashier greeted us and checked us in and had us meet Princess who would be our server for the evening. Princess was so kind to walk us to our lane and she was super attentive. She's so friendly and got all of our beverages promptly. It was very clean including the bathrooms. Princess also assisted us in getting the balls we needed to play well. I really love the upgraded service and the music was banging! Such a good time!

Overall had an easy and fun experience. I called on our way to check if lanes are available (day after Thanksgiving). Upon arrival we got set up immediately. We had consistent great experience from staff on the call and on site. People started arriving upon our arrival. No fuss. No issue. Tips: best to call to check if lanes are available. Online reservation is through a third-party and discount code does not apply when booking on location. Online reservation does not reflect current available lanes.

This place is horrible and has ridiculous rules, I have been here before and had similar issues with employees being rude, racist and lazy. So me my 36 year old brother and 59 year old husband went to hang out after lunch I asked my husband to go get me and my brother a drink and the bartender refused to sell to him. He stated he can only buy 1 drink at a time and must wear a wristband... whatever my husband bought my drink then shortly went back to buy my brother his drink since we were competition bowling .. the employee refused and then someone came over and asked us to wear wristband.. I looked around and there were two different families of other races drinking beer not wearing a wristband I immediately went and asked for a manager name left a message and left.. of course I have not gotten a response so here I am informing people of this place with racist employees!

Stellar service and fun place! My group got the unlimited Tuesday thing and they let us use two lanes for 5 people since 2 people wanted bumpers but the rest of us didn't The people are really nice and got us pitchers of water and helped us bring it all the way back to our lane! The place is really cool too. I didn't have any food since I wasn't hungry but the bowling and the water was great!

guestservices@bowlerocorp.com is an inactive email. These people here are lousy.

Everything can improve. No one answers the phone at the home office or any of the branches. 0/5 stars this place is ridiculously inconsistent with customer engagement, it's nearly non existent.

best experience ever! Jamie was the best. He took care of us the whole night and literally felt like a homie. i would highly recommend. Nice hangout spot & the food was soooooo good. we got wings and fries and they were bomb. i highly recommend to come here. def more fun then other places

I attended a birthday event at this bowling alley, and it was such a fun and positive experience! I loved that they have a bar too. I'll definitely be coming back to this location!

Two lanes for a birthday party - super fun !!!

Came here with the Fam for a birthday party for one of the Little One's school friends. I swear I haven't been to Golfland in probably 20+ years (maybe even closer to 30. That's how old I am). Glad to see it's still up and running and still a lot of fun. Young children are still a bit too small to really enjoy mini golf, or laser tag, but they had a blast running around and playing the video games. It's great to see that some things about this place haven't changed. The host of the party also purchased game cards for everyone, and each card came loaded with 100 credits. Dang! that's a lot. They were only valid for the video games, and none of the ticket or prize games, which honestly makes sense, as buying in bulk probably comes with a big discount, and no arcade wants you racking up a mountain of prizes off a party package. Still, it worked out fine because the little ones had a blast on the video games, and I even snuck in a round of Space Invaders myself ;) Even for Golfland, I can't write a review without mentioning food. Yes, it was party food, but I'll try to be nice: - Pizza: Cheese, chicken, and Veggie. Choices were great. However, the pizza quality was pretty mediocre. Akin to Little Caesar's. I'd say Chuck E. Cheese, but honestly I've never tried theirs so can't really say. - "Famous Thick Shake": I did go rogue a bit and purchased my own order of this shake that they advertise on the posters. First thing you notice? The size. It's huge! They offer a small and a large, but the "large" is about three times bigger for just $1 more. And that's how they get you to buy the large. At $9 vs. $8, of course you wouldn't order a small! The "shake" is really more like soft serve ice cream in a cup, almost like a McFlurry. I wouldn't try sucking it up through a straw though. That's futile. You get to choose three toppings. I went with two: cookie dough and coconut, which kind of makes a coconut chocolate chip cookie? It was pretty good, though way too much for one person. The Mrs., The Little One, and I together couldn't even finish it. Of note: the receipt labeled it as an "IG Thick Shake," which made me curious. I assumed IG meant instagram. So I hopped onto Instagram and searched "Golfland Thick Shake" to see what the hype was about. Let's just say the search results ended up being NSFW. Not what I was expecting. Overall, Golfland is still a solid spot for birthdays, family fun, and nostalgia. The food isn't why you come, but the golf, games, and sweet treats definitely make it worth the trip.

They are held at California Extreme in Santa Clara, Golden Gate Pinball Festival in Lodi and Pin-a-Go-Go in Dixon. California Extreme is not exclusive with Pinball Machines. There are also tons of arcade games for those who enjoy them. We have enjoyed attending these events whenever we're able to. In the past, our work schedules often got in the way. Now that we're retired, our vacation schedules often cause conflicts. The people who run this event have always done a tremendous job of getting others to bring their beloved machines, set on free play, for the masses to play. In return, they get free admission. A substantial number of volunteers are also needed to load-in, load-out, wipe down, perform minor repairs, scorekeepers, registration, check-in, etc., etc. We attend to see Pinball Machines that we've never seen before, to play with machines that are hard to find, to play new machines, but mostly to play in the tournament. Yes, there are cash purses and trophies or plaques to be one. Bragging rights galore! But for players at my level, it's mostly about WPPR Points that affect your International Flipper Pinball Association Ranking. As I write this review, I am 8640 out of 103,576 players in the world. Does it mean anything? Only to my ego. At one time, I was sub-3000. I simply don't play in enough tournaments to keep my ranking. This year's tournament entry fee was $2 per game. That is not particularly expensive BUT there was no limit to the number of entries that one could purchase. This changes that tournament of skill and luck to one of skill, luck and DEEP POCKETS. In my opinion, there should be a single buy-in. Everyone plays the same number of games on the games that are available. Yes, this will reduce the prize money but so what? Whatever happens, happens. If you have a great day, congratulations. If you have a lousy day, better luck next year. But under the unlimited buy-in, you just keep putting out money until you have a few good games to tie together for your final score. What? The tournaments almost over but you're in 11th place and only the first 10 places are in the money. Well, play some more and hope to improve your score and win! Anyway, without the tournament to play in, I will either only attend California Extreme one day only or skip it all together moving forward. Additionally, this year, for the first time, the Hyatt is now charging $40 to park overnight. This was either not disclosed at the time of booking or I somehow missed it. When I complained, it was discounted $20 because I was staying there for California Extreme and another $10 because I'm a Hyatt member. I was told that, "all the other area hotels are charging more for parking and the Hyatt is just trying to catch up." There was a 49ers exhibition game on Saturday, August 19th, and parking was expected to be at a premium and traffic would be a zoo. To counter that, we arrived way early to get a space. We arrived at 8:30 for a 10:00 opening. Because we left the house so early, we didn't have time to eat breakfast, but we had plenty of down time in the hotel (check-in was at 3:00pm), so we opted for breakfast in the hotel (see our review for Evolution). Breakfast Buffet at $28 per person vs Continental Breakfast at $22 per person. So, while California Extreme is still lots of fun, between the costs and the crowds and a Deep Pocket Tournament, it may be time for us to move on.
