For years, I've wanted to host a Carnaval party in the United States, and I'm finally going to do it in 2017. Therefore, I wanted some authentic vastelaovend supplies from my beloved Dutch adopted home city of Maastricht. I reached out to Carnavalsshop 't Mooswief via email a couple of months ago to see if they'd ship to Chicago. They were very responsive and patient as I made my inquiries about the availability of items, the shipping cost, etc. Once they determined he cost of shipping, it took me a little bit of time to figure out how to transfer the funds. Once the funds were sent, they shipped me a glorious box of Carnaval items for my party. The box arrived decorated with their brand stickers, and my items were carefully packaged in one of their store's branded plastic bags, a treasure in its own right.
