As a former Adult Care Worker I cannot recommend the available services too highly. On hand…read morecounseling is professional, empathetic, and reciprocal. I have directed many of my past cases to the CMHA for required counsel, as well as for becoming members in 'disorder-specific' groups. Personal experience with MH issues is what led me to discover the CMHA. Through the CMHA I was able to understand the multi-thematic state (consisting of 4 acute monothematic delusions) that indicated my specific DMS (delusional misidentification syndrome). Were it not for the CMHA I may not have been able to stabilize the relationship between my cortical and limbic systems, thereby allowing a healthy trajectory for the development of my mind. If you, or anyone you know has difficulty relating their mind to socially constructed reality, I implore using the personal assistance offered at the CMHA. The peer groups and social/street outreach programs may save a life. I cannot review other aspects of the CMHA (IE independent Living Support, Suicide Bereavement Support), as I have no substantive experience. If anyone has issues with ILS or SBS, please contact CMHA and provide a review here!
