The steak was perfect, the trout a bit overcooked. I finally figured out how to say medium rare in Argentine Spanish. "Jugoso." Juicy. And we had a penguin of wine. It's pretty standard in BA steakhouses to serve wine in penguin-shaped pitchers. A big penguin is 1 liter, a small penguin is 0.5 liters. Apparently the penguin is a throw back to the time when all Argentine wine came in bulk and had to be served in a pitcher. I have no idea why it's a penguin instead of another shape.

They have a bunch, but they are all hanging out chatting by the grill and will NOT LOOK AT TABLES... very hard to wave them down, it's ridiculous. Also they straight up won't tell you important details with regard to "how do you wish to pay " because they say "I'm used to the regulars"... Such as you could have saved 10% (I'm sure the owners incentivize it for a reason, but the wait staff is just not into it.... I think wait staff world like an avg of 3 mo. I've seen. Them also just be glancing out the window for a long time with no attention to their tables ... I don't know wtf I tipped here. Oh.. and it gets hot by the grill, they dummies also keep their wine near there so don't be surprised if it's warm. Make sure to taste it before your server leaves in case it bad or you might have to get up to tell them since once they serve you it's good bye I like the establishment, but theirs service has been this bad since I started going over 18yrs ago -- MANAGEMENT, get your act together!!!
