History
Established in 2010.
Boulevard Recording is a recording studio in the center of Hollywood California. Once home of the famed Producer's Workshop, Boulevard Recording is expanding on the rich history of this studio space. This is where Pink Floyd decided to park for two months after they began tracking The Wall in France. Steely Dan also tracked most of the basic tracks to Aja here. Ringo Starr, Carly Simon, Ray Charles, Neil Diamond and many others painted these walls with music.
The majority of Epitaph records albums were recorded here. Bands like Blink 182, The Offspring, Bad Religion, MXPX, Rancid, and Mazzy Star's hit record So Tonight That I Might See featuring the song "Fade Into You."
The studio is owned and run by Clay Blair. Originally from Asheville, North Carolina, Blair learned the ropes recording at studios in Asheville such as Echo Mountain Recording and Altamont recording. Recording artists such as Gary Jules, Donovan Frankenreiter and producer David McConnell of Elliott Smith fame.
