The first thing I was told to do was file my infected toenails until they were as thin as other toenails. I partly filed one toenail, and then my back hurt, So I stopped. My back continue to hurt for a few days, so I went to a chiropractor, I sent her a message via Piedmont, my chart, asking if they could file the nails for me because it hurt my back so much, she did not reply. I called the main office and ask them to ask her to reply to my message, she still did not. My back was still hurting so I went to the chiropractor again in two weeks. They told me some stretches to do several times each day, and after I did them for about 10 days, my back felt a lot better. At that one appointment, they sold me special soap to use on my toenails and some liquid to paint on my toenails to clear up the infection, the cost was $60! Now I need to go to a different podiatrist, who may or may not want me to use that same liquid, so the $60 may just be lost.

And absolutely no pressure to consider surgery anytime soon, if ever. Not to be overlooked, even though our daughter is a minor, Dr. Jimenez made sure to speak directly to her, acknowledging her role as the patient and ensuring that she felt seen and heard. That, in and of itself, means a lot. And I cannot say enough about just how awesome of a person she is beyond the clinical setting, too. Additionally, her office staff are equally kind and eager to assist. Everyone there, from front office administrative to back office clinical staff, came across as happy and enjoying their roles there and that speaks volumes about the provider(s) they work for and the environment they have cultivated. You really can't ask for a better provider and I would not hesitate to wholeheartedly recommend her to those in need of a podiatrist in the Athens and surrounding areas. Being new to the area, we did a search for a podiatrist in the area and found Dr. Herron and made an appointment. My son was very disappointed when he returned stating the Doctor didn't wear gloves, used tips laying on the counter top for the machine to freeze the warts off and only spent 5 minutes with him. If that wasn't bad enough, his front office staff deciding my son was handsome and a "good catch," decided to write their names and phone numbers on the back of his appointment card. One of the two found him on FaceBook and friended him. This is a HIPPA violation to use client information for personal use. I still have the appointment card. My son never mentioned it. I found the card on the floor in his room. I wanted to take action against both of those young ladies, but my son asked me not to. So, a bad review is my response to their inappropriate and unprofessional behavior, let alone the lax in professionalism by the doctor.

He has over 20 years of experience and is honestly one of the best people you'll ever have the experience of meeting. Very reasonable and will do anything he can for his patients. He is conservative and tries to prevent running up high bills to help keep patent costs low. His office is capable of performing many procedures in-house based on patient needs as another way to help you save money on expensive hospital bills. Experienced with diabetic care, wounds, foot and ankle injuries and pain (including plantar fasciitis, bunions or hammertoes),orthotics, skin issues relating to the foot and ankle area, plantar warts, and ingrown toenails, among other problems.
