Walked in store, first time in two years. Found a nice Prosecco. Went to pay for the bottle. First off they don't gift wrap bottles I was told. Then the lady at the counter kept asking for my name and address. I said I'd rather not give out this information. She insisted telling me that without that "you can't get the special price." this place is good for a bargain, but don't go in with a plan, because they don't always have everything. And something you got there this week, might not be there next week. But when they have a good sale, stock up! They might not run it again. the parking lot is small and the spots are even smaller. they do offer shopping carts and there is a lot of help on the floor at any given time, which is nice. I'll admit there is great selection here. Made my choice and headed to the checkout. When I asked for gift wrap was told they don't do that. There were gift sacks I could buy. Never in over 50 years of buying booze have I ever had a liquor store not wrap a bottle for me. I don't expect much, usually an inexpensive sleeve they slip the bottle in and a quick ribbon to hold in place. Probably costs less than 5 cents to do so. That is truly chintzy. Wonderful store. My husband and I are senior citizens and so appreciate Bottle Bargains offering curbside delivery during this time of quarantine. We actually called Total Wine of Westbury first and were told they would not offer curbside delivery. Bottle Bargains believes in helping out during hard times, while Total Wine does not. read more

I love you BottleBargins. Your new store is beautiful and the music on loud speakers outside is a nice touch. Despite the negativity about not being able to always find what you are looking for, BottleBargins has a very wide selection of almost anything that will get you tipsy or saucy or even hammered if that's your thing. The wine selection is decent. You can sample the goods if you choose to. They have about 12 different wines in refridgo-dispensers in the back of the store and the staff is always willing to give you a sampling of the other wines you'd like to try. The prices are competitive if not rock-bottom. You will definitely save over your local liquor proprietor. I picked up a 1.75 L Beefeater Gin for $32 which I consider to be quite the deal. Stopped in on Sunday to pick up a gift for my sister. I picked up a bottle of Duckhorn cabernet and various other bottles of liquor for myself. I spent well over $100 , as the Duckhorn was $68 by itself. When i got to the checkout i asked for a gift wrap for the bottle of wine for my sister. I was looking for maybe the mylar bag that most liquor stores have ! I was told that they don't have those but they did have a gift package for $1.99 ! ARE YOU KIDDING ME ?? Petty shit. Considering how much my family and I spend there. The wine was $68 by itself!! Way to go with customer service again! I can't be the only person to want to wrap a bottle as a gift ?? Come on guys. Ive seen bottles of Lindemans bin 65 for as low as $4.50 a bottle (I've got receipts to prove it) making the trip worth it by the case. Wine bins of $3-4.00 specials. I was here several times a week when I used to live in these parts. Spirits usually come in the large-size bottles only: Gin. . . Hendricks and Plymouth 1 liters, Millers, Bombay Sapphire and Beefeater all 1.75, priced for drinking and sharing. Bourbons like Makers Mark, Bulleit, Knob Creek and Jim Beam, again, large bottles only. Little cut-out reviews affixed to the shelves clue you in to whats good, although they were still identifying Jack Daniels as 86 proof, so beware. They advertise in the papers around the holidays, and have mailing lists to keep you posted otherwise, just sign up for their "SuperSaver Card". Bottlebargains is affiliated with Bottles & Cases in Huntington, another north-shore gem of a hootch shop. They accept visa and mastercard, but you can leave your discover @ home. read more

I get the concept - stock large quantities of bottles of wine bought cheaply from wholesalers. It's like the Marshall's or TJ Maxx of wine retail. The only flaw in this business model is that there's no consistency. It's hard to go shopping for exactly what you want when the turnover is so high and unpredictable. You may find a good deal, but you may have wasted the trip not finding what you want. Play Russian Roulette with this retailer if you dare. read more

Great quality selection and across the boards best prices you'll find. I was impressed to find they sell Lagavulin 16 year-old single malt scotch for under $50, which sells at most retailers locally for about $75-80. (Not a huge fan of this peaty scotch, but they also sell Macallan at the lowest price I've seen.) They stock most every liquor you're looking for, but if you find a wine you like it may be a good idea to stock up as you may not find it again - and certainly won't find anywhere else at as low a price. And if you're looking for some special wines, from Chateu Lafite Rothschild to Caymus or Opus One, you'll find they offer great discounts. read more

I love this store. I started going to Bottlebargains about 3 years ago when I stared Dating a girl in Fort Salonga. Staff are always friendly and courteous and always there to assist you. I call this place "the Harbor Freight of booze" since their prices are less than any other liquor store. This is a great store. I happen to be in Northport so I stopped in to buy kosher wine, they had a large selection at great prices. They staff was knowledgeable and helpful. Great shopping experience!! Went this past Sunday. It was super busy an older sales guy Jim? Saw that i was taken back by the crowds and the sheer size of the place and asked if i needed help. Took me around to three areas for wine and offered a taste of two of his recommendations. They have a large area to taste at the rear of the store both from an amazing machine and from behind a very handsome bar. Tasted the two recommended liked one not the other purchased the one. Was recommended two more while tasting and again liked one and purchased it.all the while the place was abuzz. I felt well served in spite of the crowds attracted to the back area for the tastings and thought the customer service of the highest order.Checkout was a breeze these guys dont believe in long lines!!!!!!! read more

Worst customer service I have ever experienced at a wine store. My little brother came to help me carry wine because I have a bad back, with no intention of drinking any (because he's underage). The cashier looked like she was 12 years old herself and made my little brother stand outside because it's "NYS law" which it's not! Whenever there is a party and I need to buy a lot of wine, I have him come and help me carry it. Upon calling the store the manager told me it was their store policy which I ridiculous. If a mother went to buy wine with her 5 year old daughter, would she have to wait outside alone?
