best liquor store in Bloomfield good prices and friendly professional staff . I went this morning a guy his name zack was very helpful .

Huge selection- great prices- must get the club card!! And the staff is friendly, down to earth and provide great service.

Its local and always well stocked. They downgraded the potato chip rack, but they still have a mass of snacks including cheese and salami. They also have a great selection of beers. I like the Japanese beers - Asahi and Sapporo. The staff is always professional and friendly at the register. Sometimes the stock guys are a little loose, and their conversations are too loud for the floor. Keep your chit chat low so I dont have to know about it in thw next aisle. Solid selection. Great prices. Very convenient to my friend's house. I think they are a little more expensive than other places in the area but I think their selection makes up for it. Also, if you live near it (or know someone who does) it's much easier to take a 5 minute drive rather than a 25 minute drive just to save a few bucks. read more

Recent transplant to the area by way of CA, the home of delicious craft beers (especially IPA). I'm pleased Bottle King has a robust selection of both local and CA beers (although I'd kill a man for some Racer 5), and it's a great stop for all my brew needs. They don't have a good selection New Jersey beers. Most other liquor stores in the area do.

The managment team is always very helpful and knowledgeable! If they don't have they will try and get it! They are open pretty much all year round. Even through storms. (which is always a plus). It's the only place it go to for my wine. And they are always open for postive feedback :) read more

I live around the corner and come here often enough and always enjoy their selection & staff. Tonight, however that all came to a complete halt. The "store manager" caught me completely off guard with his sarcastic remarks which i thought he was kidding with when my friend and i wanted to split our costs evenly on our cards and the cashier before we had to deal with this "manager" - did the math wrong. Sharan the "manager" proceeded to help us attempt to void the costs & properly process our payment. The whole time he told us what an inconvenience we were, and at first we took it as a playful remark. The more he continued we saw he was not kidding and he proceeded to out right call us problematic in front of other customers, asking us why we couldn't just go to an atm before hand. When we told him this is something we've done before, it shouldn't be a problem if its done right - its simple math to split something in half - he said "We've never had customers as problematic as you before." Looking at him I would have guessed he was about 19-20 years old. I asked him if there was a manger and he said boastfully that he was and when we were surprised he looked at us and said "oh no. its not a surprise." We proceeded to tell him he has the worst customer service we've ever dealt with and instead of apologizing or making us feel more comfortable with the situation he fired back telling us that we started it. Started it? How old are we here? If he ever truly went to MIT he would know that is NOT how you handle a situation with an upset customer. Long story short, he did not end up processing our payment the right way and almost charged our cards the full amount each if we didn't catch it. In total, our cards were charged more than the total amount of the bill because of his falty transactions & voids. Beware of the little indian! Stay away unless you have exact cash he can't handle anything else !!! read more

Bottle King is the only liquor store that can wear the crown as a legitimate "discount" liquor store. Discount liquors is the most abused term in the wine and spirits retail business. Not Here! They always have specials going on that will have you wondering why everyone is not shopping here. Their selection is more than adequate and the store is well organized so you can find what you need. Club card will save you more on certain items reduced for club members. read more

Selection is pretty good and prices are fair. The staff is friendly but not very knowledgable (just forget about asking questions regarding specific wine or whisky regions) but if you know what you want and like then they probably have it. Someone there must know about what's what because, as I said, they do have a good selection. My only beef with this place has nothing to do with the store: the people that shop here are consistently some of the worse parkers of any parking lot I've ever been to - what is the deal Bottle King shoppers?!?!?! read more

I love the Glen Ridge Bottle King and always have. However, they raised their price of Dewars by $2.00 recently (July). I will still shop at Bottle King for wine and other liquors, but I will not buy Dewars there. I have been buying my scotch at the Liquor Locker and will continue to do so unless Bottle King lowers their price. Liquor Locker charges $29.99. read more
