Michelle was so helpful and I had a wonderful experience ordering my wedding invitations. I had to change the time for the start of the event and Michelle just made sure that everything was correct before printing them out. Communication was awesome. The whole process was easy and the invites arrived on time! My guests have commented on how amazing it is that they can actually plant them! read more

I had an amazing experience here working with Toni. I had to order a large quantity of tags for a work promotion. Toni walked me through the whole process, was very communicative, and made sure that my order was completed correctly, and on time! Today I got the favors for the reception. The service I received from Botanical PaperWorks was awesome -- from the conversations I had with them to the delivery of the items as promised. They kept me informed along the way so I knew exactly when they were being shipped. I am so glad that I found them on the web, they provide 'beautiful, handmade, plantable and eco-friendly' items. The hearts with seeds are so beautiful and artsy -- I don't know if I will be planting the ones we keep. read more

These cards were a big hit with our guests. We held our wedding reception at the Garfield Park Conservatory in Chicago. In keeping with the theme of plants and nature, I wanted something a little more ecologically responsible. This paper is made from recycled paper, and has seeds impregnated into it! My friends told me the wild flowers that sprouted look beautiful. We had a small message of thanks to the guests printed onto the front, instruction on how to plant the card on the back. No wasted knickknacks, which you sometimes get as thank you presents. My only regret is that I didn't snag one myself, too much going on at the end of the night Tips: 1. they automatically printed the directions on the back, I had wanted to write something on the back of some of them. 2. I used cards that were supposed to be tags for favors, these are about the size of business cards, big enough for our purpose and less expensive than larger cards. read more

Today I received my order of plantable heart note favors. I am so impressed with this product and my overall experience with Botanical Paperworks that I would recommend them to anyone. The favors are well made. The envelopes and shape of the plantable paper is consistent for all the favors. All four colors I ordered are vivid and mostly true to what their site's pictures show. The yellow (not mustard yellow) looks really light on the site and in person it is a more saturated color. I cannot wait to use them in my upcoming wedding! read more

When planted in soil, the paper will biodegrade and the seeds will grow, leaving no waste behind.

History

Established in 1997.

Botanical PaperWorks began in the mid 1990's with mother-daughter duo, Mary Reimer, a teacher and Heidi Reimer-Epp, a marketing and business professional. Before the time of recycling, Mary longed for a way to reuse leftover paper from her students and discovered eco-friendly papermaking. She eventually went on to create Heidi's wedding stationery and after receiving much praise over the creativity of the seed paper, a business was born. The two ambitious ladies teamed up to build a successful company that creates more beauty in the world, not waste.

Heidi has turned her passion for paper into Botanical PaperWorks, a business guided by environmental sustainability and practices. The company makes and markets eco-friendly, seed paper that grows into flowers, herbs and vegetables when placed in soil. As president and co-founder, Heidi has overseen company growth from the ground up (pun intended) as Botanical PaperWorks went from start-up to international success story.
