Stopped in around 2pm on a Sunday after brunch. The bar was pretty full but we were able to snag one of the really cute cabana looking tables. The decor is very tropical and beachy. Lots of great places for pics. They had a DJ playing and a few people were dancing. Views are amazing so I suspect it gets busier closer to sunset. Our waitress was great, very attentive. I do wish the menu had an appetizer section though. We eventually wanted something to snack on like a dip but there wasn't anything in the menu that wasn't from the raw bar or a full entree. Nice addition to the beach.

The perfect Dayclub for to get a glimpse of Tortuga! Super fun spot with good music and good vibes. We could even hear the performers on the Tortuga stage, which was awesome!

After fighting to find a parking spot I made my way upstairs to La Playa. There was no cover to get in which I was a nice incentive to stay. I initially said I would stay for about an hour or two. Here I am 6 hours later writing this review. The space has open windows so you get great views of the beach. A time was had. Lusha the bartender was amazing from start until finish. She was very attentive to everyone at the bar area. I don't recall seeing anyone waiting long for additional rounds. One of the best bar experiences I have had. I found out the DJ was only visiting but he did an amazing job keeping us moving. Oh yeah the food...I ordered the jerk chicken sandwich & the people's margarita. The sandwich was good. They missed some of the mango sauce on it but when I finally got to it, it complemented the sandwich well. The margarita was a sleeper so I know it is dangerous (but in a good way). I would certainly order both of these items when I visit again. Glad I looked up La Playa & came to check it out.

An absolute MUST DO. Group of gals in town ready to have a good time and Ft. Lauderdale was killing us in not the best way. We stumbled into here on the last day and it closed us out in the best possible way. The lord shined upon us with this choice. Best drinks, best view, best service, best food. 100 out of 10. Cory the bouncer 5 stars... we should have hired him to follow us around all weekend. An absolute gem and current bodyguard for the luckiest ppl in the world. Cory for president. Kat the bartender 5 stars - affordable and delicious. Nothing too sweet. Attentive and actually nice to us and interested in what we had going on. Tony Platinvm 5 GIANT STARS. Nothing but bangers and good times.

TLDR: Nice spot on the beach with beautiful views of the beach. Would I go again: yes Drinks: Key Lime Sunrise and Blueberry purée both had great flavor and a good amount of alcohol. Service: Bartender was attentive without being overly intrusive.

What a fun place! Highly recommend checking it out. La Playa is located upstairs in Bos Beach. They have a DJ, beautiful views, friendly bar tenders, overall a good vibe. We ordered the calamari and the fish dip. Tasty bar bites! Absolutely will be back!

Visit: first Food: waffles LITERALLY delicious, sweet, crispy and fresh with the berries Breakfast pizza: crunchy, full of flavor, egg was a nice texture, delicious Environment: has a "tulum" vibe, mainly house music, shout out to Dj Celestra who read the crowd and thru some latin music, she killed it!! Open and airy, spacious, has two floors, i think think is great for groups Staff: Kaitlyn our hostess was amazing, she did everything to make us feel welcomed and was so quick and efficient w food and drinks! Tips: reserve and get there early, parking is a mission, dress beachy! Return: heck yes!

First time here. We started at the downstairs restaurant. Hostess wasn't very welcoming. Our waitress was great. Very friendly and attentive. View is great. Got the shrimp cocktail app.. standard, nothing fancy but very tasty. We also got the fish tacos and the pork dish. Fish tacos were delicious. The pork dish was not visually appealing, but tasted fine. Average. Drinks weren't very strong. My second drink was supposed to be a spicy watermelon margarita (the pink senorita).. it wasn't spicy and tasted like a flower. I would come back, just make different drink choices and order the fish tacos again. Upstairs had a fun vibe. Awesome decor. Would recommend this if you are looking for a drink and good music.

The ambiance is super cute but if you want an ocean view then bar seating is the only place to be. Our waitress was very attentive albeit this was a Friday at 5pm. It wasn't very busy and they had live music which was nice. Their catch of the day was mahi-mahi which we asked for it grilled. The mango salsa, rice and beans, and green beans all came with it which nonetheless left me with a very full belly. The fish was so flaky. It was perfect! The lobster roll however was lacking seasoning. It was missing salt, pepper, an acidic element. Perhaps an aioli sauce would've sealed the deal but either way it lacked something flavorful.

Tulum vibes on A1A. Incredible new venue in fort laudy with gorgeous views of the ocean.

La Playa Day Club

Went to La Playa Day Club while on vacation for lunch. Of course we knew it would be more than a brunch. This restaurant/bar is located on the 2nd floor of Bo Beach. The vibe is amazing with a very nice island ambiance. This is a great place if you want to hear good music, have great drinks, and get good food. The music and vibes of this place will make you stay longer than planned. If you visit Fort Lauderdale and are looking for a great vibe that is not to crowded, please visit La Playa Day Club

Food was good. Dress code is bathing suits with cute coverups for woman. The men there had on swim shorts with a button up and Jerseys & jean shorts. The vibe is up beat, there is a DJ spinning all day so the music never stops!

Guess what? This place is really fun. Came here on a whim and had the best time having drinks at the upstairs DayClub overlooking the ocean and sand! New York Mike took care of us, and may I say - what a talented guy. He makes perfectly balanced cocktails and has a kind, upbeat attitude. Ask for him by name! Get into it. Go on vacation or pretend you are and let the good times roll.

As titanium Marriott bonvoy members, we received a breakfast voucher each morning of our stay, which is good for your choice of coffee or orange juice and an entree from a select menu (see pics). I found the select menu to have many great options. I had the "smothered burrito" which was huge and delicious and did not have any beans. The "traditional eggs Benedict" was typical and came with a large portion of their potatoes- yum. The "huevos rancheros" was great too but I wished it had those potatoes. My husband had the "applewood bacon and poached egg avocado toast" twice because it was so good. We ordered two additional eggs sunny to go with it, as that dish only had one poached egg. He also got the "two eggs your way" which comes with choice of protein, potatoes and two slices of sourdough toast w butter (no jam). He ordered bacon egg and cheese taco with that dish to maximize his protein intake. That was tasty. Everything we ate here was a good portion. I saw the regular menu. Dishes are about $16. The pancakes looked awesome- maybe we will get that next time. Pancakes would pair well with the hash- it looks like a huge dish. They have a breakfast cocktail menu. I had the bloody Maria (nothing special but it said house made bloody mix so I wanted to try it), which came with a celery stick. I think next time I'll do the coffee inspired cocktails. Those sound amazing. We ate inside because the wind was crazy like 25mph. We ate outside one day, when the wind wasn't as bad, and found that there are some pesky birds trying to steal food off of server trays. So if you don't want the birds, sit inside. The place gets busy; you can make a reservation. We never had to wait in line long or wait for a table, but I think that's because we're hotel guests. Once sat, we did wait more than 20 min to receive our food. But it's ok. The coffee is good. The restaurant turns into Lona for lunch and dinner. They give you the Lona drink menu for breakfast too if you're more in the mood for a margarita. Bar seating is first come first served. Bathrooms are inside the hotel lobby. There is no parking for the restaurant but you can valet.

I had really high hopes for this breakfast visit due to the great rating this restaurant has but my…read moreexperience fell short. My order consisted of the Machaca Skillet and a side of Papas Racheras (potatoes). The positives were, a) the portion size (massive amount of food) and b) the great flavor of the Machaca (shredded beef with onions, bell pepper & tomato. Now the negatives, a) the 3 poached eggs were all over-cooked/hard yolks, b) the side of potatoes were cold and had an unappealing texture. I'm not positive but I have a feeling they were left over from the day before because I arrived at 7am which is when this restaurant opens so if they made the potatoes fresh they couldn't have been this bad and c) after the waiter took my order and never saw him again until I was ready for the bill. He never checked in on me which is a shame because I had pierced all 3 eggs to show him the hard yolks and ate very slowly so the proof would be on the plate when he checked on me but alas, he never showed. If I lived in the area I may give them another try because of the potential with this dish.

This entire cafe is outdoors, so it's best to visit during weather where you can tolerate being outdoors. There is lots of shade, so the sun won't be beating on you directly, and there are fans around the tables as well. There are also those little fly fans on each table to keep flies away from your food, so it's clear that they've done their due diligence with creating a comfortable outdoor environment. This was my first time visiting, and I was pleased with everything I ordered. My fiance had been here once before on his own, and brought me along this time to experience it for myself! I ordered the iced Rosa Latte, the Breakfast Bowl, and a plan Belgian waffle. He had an iced Chai Latte, and the Pancake Sandwich. Here are our thoughts of each item: Rosa Latte: I got mine with almond milk, and it was just the right amount of sweet. The rose syrup brings a truly unique flavor that I can hardly describe myself! If you like your tea with milk and honey (or any sweetener) and you also like lattes, you'll enjoy this. Breakfast Bowl: everything was cooked perfectly. I was surprised at the heaping scoop of perfectly ripe avocado on top--I wasn't expecting so much avocado, in a good way. Most restaurants are stingy with avocado. The eggs were fluffy, the bacon was crispy, and everything tasted like an extremely well made home breakfast. The eggs were not salted, which I preferred because I was able to add the amount of salt I wanted. Pancake Sandwich: My fiance ordered this one, and he described it as the perfect blend of sweet and savory. The pancake (bread) was a normal pancake size, which made the sandwich a bit difficult to hold given that pancakes aren't very firm, so some people might find it easier to use utensils to eat this. I tasted the pink mayonnaise, and it tasted homemade! If you like deviled eggs, the pink mayonnaise tastes like fresh deviled eggs. It's lovely. Overall, this was a super pleasant experience. The server that my fiance had last time (I didn't catch his name) also remembered him and stopped by our table to say hello. The prices here are a bit higher for a breakfast cafe, but once you taste everything you'll understand why. It's clear that all the food and drinks use fresh ingredients, and the staff takes pride in it!

We were coming from Hallandale, we had an 8pm reservation got seated around 815 which wasn't too bad. We were sat in a dimmer quieter section away which I really appreciate since our 1 year old was sleeping giving us the perfect date-night setting. Unfortunately the last time we been to Shooters was Valentine's Day 2025. We weren't aware that the menu had been changed since our last time dining which was rather unfortunate since the two entrees (seared brown butter scallops & shrimp and grilled soy-ginger glazed salmon) we came for were changed on the menu. We ended up getting the soy glazed salmon and scallops & prawns which unfortunately we did not enjoy at all. Even the sides were different previously you could just get a side of Mac now you can only get a side of truffle Mac? The grilled soy ginger salmon was on a bed of veggies (bok choy, Napa cabbage, onions, peppers) the one that's currently on the menu was basically on two inedible pieces of bok choy and a bed of rice I couldn't even break and chew the bok choy. Our server Ava was very attentive and sweet even gave a beautiful little treat for a birthday dessert ( not a chocolate fan but her energy made the dessert amazing ). After we paid our check we asked Ava for a manager and did specify that it was regarding the food more and not her service. I didn't catch the name of the manager we spoke to but her response to us simply questioning the menu change was she's not the culinary director or something along those lines but she would still hear our feedback. She just had such an I don't care attitude about it in my opinion and had I not had a few drinks in my system, trying to enjoy my time out with my family and birthday I would've let her know her attitude regarding it just was unnecessary. We unfortunately agreed to find a new go-to restaurant to celebrate our special occasions since so much has changed. Thank you so much to Ava for making our visit worth it! Didn't get pictures of the salmon, scallops, drinks or oysters that we got but I did get the fish dip and the dessert. Edited to add pictures from one of our previous visits
