On vacation in Florence and wanted to bring home traditional aged balsamic. Found this shop and the owner lady was so nice and helpful. The store is actually just across the street from the original location on map. Yelp has the address of the old location. But can't miss it, still there but on opposite side of street. And instead of Borgovino it's now Borgo. We found what we were looking for and the real traditional balsamic that has to come in the circular round bottles or it's not the real stuff. Price was very good from comparing it to another restaurant that sold balsamic near the cathedral and also a shop in Mercato Centrale. read more

A great wine and olive oil shop that I stumbled upon while walking to the Medici Chapel! The couple that owns the store, Franco and Cheryl, is extremely sweet, personable and helpful. They suggested various wines for my boyfriend and me to send home to our families and really took their time explaining each bottle! The shop also has many different olive oils, ornaments and other beautiful home items. We will definitely be coming back to this shop when we are back in the area, and we will also be ordering from them when we are far away! I definitely recommend visiting this cute shop! read more

The two ladies working the shop were very helpful. I got a tall bottle of limoncello and a nice bottle of chianti. They wrapped up my bottles with cardboard strips and tape that took less space than a box but protected them all the way around. Both bottles made it back without breaking. 5 stars for the convenient location of this shop, their friendly quick service, and fool proof packaging. read more

This is a hidden gem in Florence! We were walking past a bunch of tourist shops and tents along the main strip when I saw a beautiful glass hand-painted ornament. Peeking into the store, we saw there was a large wine selection as well as olive oils, spices, pasta, glassware... all genuine items which would make excellent gifts. The owners were present - this place is family owned. Truly wonderful couple! We needed up talking to them for about half an hour while we shopped. They had a great selection at a fair price and high quality. Couldn't ask for anything more! I ended up purchasing 3 of those hand painted ornaments, limoncello, some extra virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar and a few other miscellaneous items. They wrapped it up so it would be ready for travel and the fragile items wouldn't break. Loved this shop! Highly recommended to anyone passing through. read more
