As an employee of Borgess CDC I am proud to say that the staff not only has the training and extensive history within the childcare industry but still has the passion, empathy and emotional intelligence to be productive teachers. While our center may appear chaotic at times we are all here for the children. This means that the children are loved and watched and cared for. From senior staff to new employees alike there is one goal that is consistent t throughout the day and that is how can we best aid your child . I enjoy my parents and children wholeheartedly, good bays and bad. I. Great ful to the honesty of the parents and staff I work with and look forward to seeing Borgess CDC continue to grow and Excell. I also want to make a personal note : when our boss determines to turn someone away it is in the protection of the staff and students here . I.E. verbal assults , threats of physical harm or erratic /irrational behavior. Borgess CDC is a good healthy safe caring place for children and has an amazing staff. We are human and nothing is perfect, please remember that. (We also have one of the lowest paid jobs around and yet we have more responsibility and take care of the most precious individuals in our world, our future. And alot of parents forget this. (over 200 hours of training this year, my 3.8 gpa B.A. and all my 18 years of experience) and McDonald's pays more than the average child care center. Ok, rant over! My son went to this daycare for about a year, a year longer than he should have went there. We have had on going issues with this daycare. My son had pink eye three times back to back when he was an infant. I supplied diapers, there were days he came home with the wrong diapers on and two sizes to small. The daycare was on their second director in a year. And they went through 2 assistants while my son went there. My son recently got moved up to the tikes room Because he turned one. It has been problem after problem. But most recently my son has been bitten three times in a week. Yes kids that age bite but the first time he was bitten i was not informed of it, I found the bite marks on my child's body. Then he was bitten two more times after I was told they would shadow the children. I contacted the main headquarters to speak to the directors manager to file a complaint I spoke with her twice. The first time I spoke with her she was helpful. The second time she told me that she will stand by her daycare workers no matter what after I asked her, when she would start looking at her workers for being the problem and not the children and parents. If they would pay more attention to the children than getting the state assistance that would be great. When I spoke with Trisha I told her I was going to file a complaint to the licensing board because I felt my child was unsafe and they weren't taking proper care of my child. She terminated my son from the daycare on a Friday, no way to find new care by Monday. Obviously she was mad about me filing a complaint and at the point she told me that the licensing board will find nothing wrong with the daycare. I know many parents that have taken their kids to this daycare and pulled them because of the same problems I am having. They hire some very uneducated people there. Every other week there are new teachers working there your child is never with the same teachers and always mixed in with the babies or the older children. They allow kids to come there sick and don't call parents to pick them up. Their were days I picked my son up with a temperature over 100.4 and I was never called or told. These people don't even deserve one star.. Enrolled my two girls in this day care, paid the $60 non refundable enrollment fee and my girls began on a Monday. Upon arrival to pick my girls up I did not receive a daily report for my one year old, so that was a bit annoying and incompetent on their part. I didn't get the report until I asked three different workers how to get the sheet the following day. As I read the daily report I noticed that whithin the whole 10 hours that my child was there they changed her three times. One stretch being over six hours before the next diaper change. My poor girl wore the same diaper for over six hours... I made a comment about that and the teacher just blew it off like oh well, it happens. Sorry...! Pathetic and neglectful to say the least. I later found out that my one year old was hurt on her first day and the day care failed to tell me until the end of the following day. I made few comments that I was not happy about that and it was pretty incompetent on their part. They played it down once again. I just want to know what kind of day my kiddos have and if something occurs I'd like to know about it. And I shouldn't be penalized or to feel like I've done something wrong for being concerned I get a call from Jessica the next day which is Wednesday and she basically explains to me that because I complained of the care it woudnt be a good fit and she would be terminating care. Turning their incompetent actions around and making it my problem because of my concern! For $245 a week per kiddo, and me Intrusting my children in their care , one would think you could make comment and or show concern when the staff are clearly NOT doing their job and properly caring for you children. I ask for my deposit back since they terminated care, after two days, and they refused.
