During those years almost every tooth in his head had some sort of crown on it. I have always had near perfect teeth. When I visited his office, he told me I had several cavities. I immediately went to another dentist in town who gave me a thorough exam and x-rays and reported I had no cavities at all. This dentist also talked us into getting braces for our 11 year old son. When we found out what a fraud he is, we abruptly left. Dr. Goldston is one of the most popular people in Borger and was on the school board and an elder in his church. He recently moved to another location and the building is estimated at $500,000 in worth and it's not a large building, just exquisite. I'm assuming he takes his money from his patients and puts it into buying new things to impress others. I'm very glad we are no longer seeing Dr. Goldston and I hope others that read this will post of their not so pleasant experiences as well...

That night my father inadvertently chipped one of his front teeth at about 11pm. What was already an emotional trip now had a new factor. I called and left voice mails at several doctors' offices. Healthy Smiles called us before 8am, saw Dad at 9am. They gave him priority, they were very kind and remarkably pleasant. They really did put the smile back on my Dad's face. I unknowingly paid more than my allowable amount when I had the procedure done. When I finally received the itemized bill from my insurance I was also blessed with ANOTHER bill from Dental Group of Amarillo wanting even MORE money !! The charges that this group send out are absolutely a rip off to all of the Amarillo community. No procedure should cost as much as they want to charge. I ended up spending time on the phone with my insurance carrier and they informed me since this group is in network they can NOT charge me more than the allowed amount and they sent me a fraud/grievance report to fill out. I ended up calling the dental office and I had to explain that they couldn't bill me this ridiculous amount and they ended up stating they would talk to their billing department. They acted Shocked and stunned and said " I guess we missed that allowable amount, let me talk to our billing department ". Once they called me back, I was credited for overpaying and told to throw away the new additional bill that they surprised me with. I will never use the dental group again. They also used a product that my insurance doesn't cover knowing that they could bill more for it without telling me this prior to the procedure. This is the most shady money grubbing dental group I've ever seen. If I had not paid attention to the bill and not called both my insurance and this dental group to explain to them they overcharged me and shouldn't be billing me more they would have gotten away with it and no one would have been the wiser. There is no telling how many people they have ripped off in our community.

I have since had some additional work done and my cleanings. The staff here are very personable and friendly, and Dr Crawford is the best. They have clients coming all the from New Mexico and Oklahoma just to see him. They don't pressure you into getting a lot of unnecessary things done, as I have experienced with other doctors in the past. And they are very flexible with scheduling your appointment.
