Auberge Borda is 9km from St. Pied de Port on the French side of the Pyrenees. A great place to stay, if you don't want to hike all the way to Roncesvalles, while on the Camino. The fee includes bed, dinner and breakfast. There is a private room & 12 dorm beds, separated into groups of 4. There are toilets and showers for every 4 beds... A washer and dry service is available by the hist for a fee...hand washing is of course free. The pilgrim communal dinner was amazing that the host cooked for us. Highly recommend if you want to cut the long walk to Roncesvalles in to 2 days. read more

Borda opened as an inn (refuge / albergue) in May of 2020. It is beautiful place to stay and breaks up nicely the otherwise 25 km between St. Jean Pied de Port and Roncevalles. A beautiful farm and barn remodeled as a comfortable and modern accommodation with a beautiful view and very good food. We were also very impressed with the environmental sustainability: solar energy, water conservation etc. Last but not the least, Lorenzo will do anything in his powers to make your stay as pleasant and easy as possible. read more

Best auberge between St Jean and Roncevaux. The rooms are very clean, owner is very responsive and the food is excellent. The view is spectacular. It is a remodelled farm house and barn (2020). read more
