This is one of your average small High St Boots stores. You are guaranteed a reasonable selection of your toiletry essentials, although they might not have everything you are after and theres a pharmacy too.
I popped in whilst really quite sick to pick up more Lemsip and Berroca. They had both but only a few flavours, but I had already tried a few stores and I wanted to end my quest and get back to bed.
I was a bit underwhelmed to be honest, the store front is shabby and someone might want to introduce them to visual merchandising. Inside there are a lot of narrow isles, great because there is a wider selection but I think at busy times with a few pushchairs this could become a nightmare.
The staff were a bit of let down. I was wondering around for quite a while trying to find wax strips but no one approached me to help. Okay, fine but I was the only customer and still had to wait a few minutes at an empty till whilst two staff filled shelves right next to me and joked with another who had clearly just turned up late.
If you needed something to sum up this store... there is a sign on the till saying 'we can print your cheque for you'. Cheques!!!
I think the pharmacy is keeping this open. I wouldn't have come in but Homebargains across the street didn't have the things I wanted. I would always go there and now I think I will try Superdrug across the street.
