They were polite, helpful, flexible, did great work and were finished in a solid month. Honestly, there was nothing negative about my experience whatsoever. Allow me to describe my situation in hopes that someone in a similar circumstance might benefit; Like a lot of tiny house enthusiasts, I began the journey three years ago with every intention of building it myself. As time progressed, however, I had various setbacks stemming from finances, a personal injury, and trouble finding a location where I could build long-term. On top of all this, there was always the challenging Maine winter to contend with (leaving one with a limited window within which to build). Furthermore, while I was disappointed at the prospect of not building it myself, I also had a lot of concerns about the house's structural soundness and safety if I were to attempt the build on my own. I finally reached out to THOM with an unusual proposal; could they build a tiny house according to MY OWN plans (which had been already professionally drafted), build JUST the subfloor, walls and roof, and do so on a tiny house trailer which I had also purchased previously? Somewhat astonishingly, Ted said he'd consider it. After looking over the plans and advising a revision which would allow for an egress window, he was all in. They even constructed a beautifully modern roof which wasn't in the plans at all! They were very precise with the invoice, adjusted it promptly when I reversed my initial desire for a rear "bump out" as well as when I really wanted a more expensive flat seam metal roof than I originally planned. They assisted me with arranging transport for the trailer to their location as well as back home, they sent pictures with their progress, worked quickly, did a sensational job and were available for follow-up questions after completion! I shudder to think both how close I came to giving up on my tiny house dream as well as how easily I could've contacted any number of other inferior builders instead of Ted, Lucas, and the crew at THOM!! (Also the politest guys you're ever gonna meet.) Call them!!!

No leveled Sand to help. Before the first year was up we had problems with the Stairs, Septic, The Heat Vents where literally burning the linoleum floors in the bathroom, Foundation etc. we tried to have them fix the problems while my mom was going through Breast Cancer Treatments and they sent EPD to silence me with Trespassing papers and a Restraining order. My mom was a Disabled Veteran btw. If that's how they treated my mom a I then there capable of doing it to anyone. My mom fell off those Stairs and hit her head and died 2 weeks later. We Spent 230k on this house I expected leveled and Finished Stairs not Show Stairs. I wouldn't recommend Broughman to anyone. Broughman said your like family when we first started the process However that quickly changed when there Unprofessional Sales Rep Garrett Henderson Threatened my GF over text messages because we left a stupid laughing emoji on there post and it started a war that I have def had to live longer than you Mike and Daisy. I was very polite to you when I walked in there to confront you about Garrett Henderson and the work you weren't completing and you kept making excuses why you weren't fixing those problems. Your Houses Suck there Cheaply made and just cause you don't have issues now don't mean you won't. My mom hated conflict so that's why she wanted me to have the stuff fixed and since you said we were like family I figured it didn't matter who was asking to have the repairs done, But you sent the cops to my house anyways at 9am cunts to silence me. My mom died by her self at 4 am at Courtland because no one knew she was dying and it all started by falling off your cheap ass stairs. Btw my Nieghbor saw your workers standing around smoking cigarettes all the day every day while the house was being built. So instead of building my mom some safe reliable stairs so she didn't fall and crack her head off the ground you just stole our money which was a VA Loan btw. Yall should be prosecuted for what you did to my mom who was a Disabled Veteran and I am Disabled as well. My mom didn't deserve this F all of you. My mom will never get the Justice she deserves because this state just allows companies like you to rail road people. Hope you have a shitty Monday. You can't silence me again. Oh btw pretty messed up to celebrate my moms death by buying Rocky Knolls golf course just saying shitty af. I love how you said on another review you treat you Veteran Customers like gold wondering why my mom is in an Urn then. Stop lying to these people just to make yourselves look good. I hope you look at my moms urn and her picture and my dads Flag because now I have no parents your company ruined my life. Must feel good to take advantage of some disabled people one being a Veteran bunch of bums. NEVER GO THROUGH BROUGHMAN BUILDERS

Be very careful who you choose to guide you through the pitfalls of buying and placing your new house on your new lot. North facing or South facing lot? City or Country? The more thought and planning you do will have lasting consequences, financially and emotionally. And what about your new neighbors? Where you put your house could create problems for them. They might not like to lose "THEIR" privacy. Don't let the salesman put your house where they want it!! In my opinion they are selling a product and will do best for themselves not you. They do not care what happens to you after the sale! They are going to put that house where they can do the least amount of work and still be up to code. If the cheapest way is to put your new house, directly across the road from your new neighbors that is where it will go. Even if anytime, anyone uses that driveway their headlights "SPOTLIGHTS" your house right in your windows. I'm sure you didn't know you would have big city problems on your new 2 acre country lot. When the problem is pointed out these salesmen yell abuse and call the police to stop the truth to come out. At least until after the "SALE" " It's all the new homeowners fault we just put the house where they told us to!!" Of course you can always build a privacy fence to escape the headlights. Your new neighbors could move their driveway, of course that means a lot of costs to you and your new neighbors. Not a good way to start a new life in a new neighborhood!

I'm going to summarize the hotel then give the pros and the cons…read more Preparing for our vacation I found this exceptional lodging on the Internet and was very excited. It offers a homelike atmosphere to the rooms: a full service kitchenette equipped with basic kitchen ware such as cooking essentials and silverware. There is a Keurig and coffee pods waiting for you in your room. The spacious suite offers room to spread out and separate your lounging area from your sleeping area, etc. The pull out couch offers more sleeping accommodations for up to 4 people per room. There is a wonderful AC unit to keep you cool and an overhead fan in the bedroom. There are 2 televisions equipped with streaming capabilities and lots of closet space/hangers. When we arrived we were immediately impressed with the professional and classy appearance of the lodging. There is a wall for mailboxes and they also provide outgoing mail service. Further inside the lobby, an intimate lounge area offers 24 hour refreshment center which includes coffee, tea, cider and hot chocolate all via the Keurig. In the mornings there is a selection of pastries all thoughtfully displayed under glass. There is a laundry room on the 2nd floor which cost $9 for one complete cycle. And on the first floor is a gym. Outside and a short jaunt across the parking lot is a heated pool and a game room. This is a great place that teens and kids enjoy hanging out in. I found my personal experience to be exceptional in that I enjoyed all the aforementioned amenities (except being on vacation I chose not to use the stove so I didn't cook). The Walmart "around the corner" provided basic necessities for snacks. And we ate out the rest of the time. We did enjoy the breakfast display. We also utilized the pool which was nice, but be prepared to feel like you're crashing a private intimate family vacation. While there, 2 families occupied the pool their entire stay. The fact that there is a place for the kids to let loose allows the hotel itself to remain quiet and peaceful. Our bed was comfortable, yet we are used to a king size so it was small for us. The shower was wonderful with a nice strong current. They provide toiletries and there is a hairdryer as well. There are also pool towels available at the front desk. Just ask for them. Overall, this hotel offered a resort style feel and we were able to get a great price using a third party when making reservations. The only things to note that may be a problem for people include: *There is no lock on any entry way so if someone to come though the side door, they would find that they do not need to use any code for entry. This might concern some people, but we did not encounter issues. There are plenty of security cameras everywhere *The shower might be a tight fit for a larger individual. It was fairly cramped. And the bathroom does not have a vent. *There is no elevator so you might want to ask for the first floor. *But be prepared to hear every flush and all the water running from the unit above you *You also will hear and sense every footstep from above you but we used white noise while sleeping and that helped *We could not get the hang of the remote and the streaming style of the tvs. It was very complicated. *There is a pizza place across the street we never got to try because we were sight seeing most of the time. The one time we were going to try it they closed early. That was on a Saturday. *The ice cream place next door is cash only and very expensive. An ice cream cone is over $5 and a shake was almost $10. *They are a dog friendly hotel and our room had a slight wet dog smell. Be sure to ask for a room in the higher 100s and up. Overall we were happy and would return if in the area.

Told her how the last person I went with screwed me over and stole my money and after that I could not get a word in edgewise. I hadn't even told her the full story of what happened and she kept telling me what I should have done, designs that person owes me, how I should get back in touch with that person so that they could give me the partial work they did so I could give it to her, etc. I'm an attorney so I obviously know what I was supposed to do in that situation and what that person owes me. And honestly, none of that is her business but I was conveying what happened to me so she knew what situation I was in and that I needed some reliable. However, she missed that point completely and bogarted the conversation. When I was allowed to speak and partially state what work I wanted done, I was never allowed to get my full idea out before she cut me off and told me what was and wasn't possible and what I should be doing instead. I was glad when the phone call was done and agreed for her to send me a quote via email, which I honestly didn't even open. If that how she was on the very first phone call, I knew the rest of the process would be a nightmare. Definitely not worth it. Found someone else on Thumbtack and couldn't be happier.
