We this place popped up and looked like they did a good breakfast menu, and by golly do they ever. Nestled in a medical centre complex, only visible from a side street is this delightful cafe, it has undercover seating with an outdoor feel. The "Canada Pancakes" was not just pancakes bacon and maple syrup, it was pancakes, each layer generously covered in not too sweet real maple syrup, a whole rasher of bacon, then banana sliced on the bacon. Yes, thats right banana, I was shocked and then my taste buds were blown away by how amazing bacon and banana are together. On the side, you get whipped cream and flowers that I am assuming are edible! Stunned, amazed and oh so deliciously full. The "Eggs Benedict" comes with options, and who doesn't love options. My partner decided he would go with the mushrooms and delighted with the field of perfectly sauteed mushrooms, the poached to perfection eggs, the suprise avocado, and the delightful toast. A man of few words and he was practically raving about how good his brunch was. Coffee was excellent, mild but tasty roast with an option for extra large (read huge may as well have been a jug). Excellent service. Great value. Bonus points for supporting charities and taking donations in order to make well-being packs for the homeless!!

This could been 5 star easily but i gave it four for two small reasons; 1 my order came out wrong but it was good to see it was no drama and was swiftly corrected 2 there was not a lot of choice in the menu. I'll definitely be back in the future

As a family run business, the service reflects this. It's not too much trouble, as other Yelpers have mentioned, for the team to help you carry your shopping to the car. You get a choice of bag or box and there's a small section at the front of the store perfect for stocking up on slightly blemished produce for smoothies or juice. I most recently bought a bag of pineapples for $5 that have been well used in smoothies this week and even a chicken dish for dinner. There's also a small area for organic and gluten free flours, coconut oils, yoghurts, cheeses etc. All in all Charlie's is a one-stop shop and great for a weekly produce shop or for the one-off "I've run out of..." type of stop in. If you're not keen on driving to Everton Park, they also have online ordering with a flat $5 delivery.

After being on the road traveling for close to two months, I had gotten used to eating what was cheap and convenient, not taking nutrition into consideration most of the time, so I was craving some colors in my diet. Charlie's had a few fruits I'd never seen before, one of which was a Jackfruit, cut open and on display. Also available were coconuts, passion fruit, pineapples and other tropical deliciousness. There's a small selection of dairy-free cheeses, yoghurts and ice creams, as well as other vegan food options. We decided to get something to snack on from the cafe section. I chose a falafel which, after reading another user's review, I realize I should have asked if they were made that morning because it was cold (which I wasn't expecting) as well as soggy. Unless it was freshly made, I wouldn't recommend it. My sister ordered the banana "nice-cream," which was sinfully creamy and somehow still 100% dairy-free. Even the chocolate drizzle on top fooled me! We also got a few of their smoothies, all of which had the option of being organic (for an extra charge) or regular. Overall, it was a fairly pricey but deliciously healthy mini meal. There's a lot of hype to this place but I think it's well-deserved - worth a visit!

As someone with some scientific expertise in what is natural and what is good, I find this is overly simplistic and misleading. Nonetheless, if you drop in, I suspect you'll find that it holds true for everything they have here. I have tried a few local smoothie places, and while this isn't the cheapest one, it seems clearly the best. Of course, anyone can throw some stuff in a blender; I suspect juice bars persist largely because it's difficult for most of us to manage the logistics of keeping fresh fruit at home. But here, they're not just doing the grunt work for you, they're bringing some serious skill to the table. Could I use dragonfruit and coconut and get something that looks and tastes like bubblegum? I'm guessing not. Could I duplicate their wondrous "whipped fruit", a sort of fresh coconut ice cream made right in front of me? Not a chance. Their creations are both delicious and innovative, and I've not found an average one yet (and I've tried quite a few). The proprietor says he's from Brazil, which would explain why he is so good with topical fruits. It's a neighborhood vibe kind of place, and there's a decent chance of free samples. If something is on special, I suggest trying it. Most of what they use is fresh fruit and nut milks and coconut water and they are mostly vegan (save for a few clearly labeled pastries), making this establishment friendly to most customers. Besides their smoothies and bowls, a mouthwatering assortment of salads and baked desserts beckons. I still haven't tried any of those for fear of getting addicted, and if it instead turns out that they're terribly underwhelming in some way, I suppose I'll go back and revise this place's rating down again. Doesn't seem likely.
