I went to Boosh after reading these reviews, but when I came out of the hairdressers and wanted to cry. After years of growing my layers out, I asked for 1/2 - 1 inch trim to tidy up the ends, he cut from shoulder length to my ear (almost 4 inches) and it now looks similar to a mullet as the longth length to my shoulder blades was left long. I also asked for warm highlights as my hair is dark brown. They gave me bright blonde highlights under the layers, and because the state of the layers it looks like blondes patches covering my head. When I commented that it was nothing of what I asked for, a simle trim and subtle highlights, he said he couldn't stick the hair back on and after the third toner to take away the blonde, I gave up hope and decided to go to another hairdressers on the way. Staff were friendly though, even if though they'll do your hair the way THEY want to. I think if I was twenty years younger I would have risked the funkier look, which is what they only seem to want to do. read more

Run by a COMPLETE IDIOT Andy who is NOTHING SHORT OF FULL OF SH*T! Went there with shoulder length hair which was in bad condition, so I asked him if he would cut the ends off and bob it. The next thing he was razoring the back and my hair had gone.. he didn't style it OR touch my fringe.. I was in shock and sent upstairs for my colour, the girl doing my hair knew I was upset. She did a lovely colour to be fair then I was left for yet another person to dry my hair. A young boy dried it after waiting 20 minutes he rough dried it and walked away?.. I asked the boy if that was it? He replied I will ask Andy. I went downstairs and made to wait another 25 mins then he just gave me some bull sh*t about how ppl reaction are what matters etc.. I was stressed, tearful, shaking and very very let down. 4 hours later I left to meet my husband who could not believe it. I am left now with half styled hair, shaved at the back which is DISGUSTING. I would NEVER EVER RECCOMEND THIS PLACE. read more

I went to Boosh (based upon these rviews) just yesturday to get a tidy on my har cut and some lowlights. I walked in and were a bit uneasy as most of the staff were very young. But these orries were quickly removed as the staff were very nice and took me in right away. The hairdressor (one of the best there) was amazing and really listened to me! I dont like lots of layers and my previous hairdressor went crazy with them on my head. My hairdressor (sorry I am so bad with names) was responsive and did exactly what I wanted to -actully better han I explained! The young man who did my coloring was very careful and professional and nice. He did an amazing job! Waking up oday I am eve more pleased with my hairstlye and colouring. Well I have spent the past four years growing my hair back to waist length following several not so good layered cuts. Andrew spent a lot of time advising me and most importantly, listening to me and what I wanted. I now still have my long long hair (minus the damaged ends!) which has been layered expertly and looks fab and I have my 'swish' back. No mullet, no blunt layers, just much healthier lookiing hair! THANK YOU ANDREW for your patience with my nervousness. Oh and the comfiest back wash in Swansea and best tea and coffee in a hairdressers too. Visited the salon to pick up my daughter and decided on a whim to ask for a blowdry instead of the tea or coffee offered while I waited for my daughter. Jemma gave me a fantastic blowdry which lasted all week, went back yesterday for a cut and blow dry and was delighted. Salon very busy and quite a young crowd of stylists, my stylist was great and gave me all her attention and I would recommend her to anyone who felt a bit nervous of a too young style. It took me 5 years, and a lot of bad hair cuts, to find a stylist in the Neath/Swansea area who cuts my hair just how i want it! Mark does! Always friendly and courteous staff. I have recommended Boosh to many of my friends and they too have been impressed! Yes the colours are pricey and the process seems to take alot longer than other salons (lots of washing!) but the end result is gr8. read more
