Our neighbor suggested trying out Boomtown Fireworks when buying fireworks for this years 4th of July block party. My wife and I drove down to check them out as we have never had the chance to purchase fireworks like this in the past. Boomtown Fireworks does have adults running the store but is primarily staffed and run by kids from Willis High School. With a great selection of fireworks to choose from, there are numerous students there to assist you with questions you might have about a particular boom boom or show videos of a particular display you are considering. The students are polite and do their best to assist you in any way you may need it and all money collected goes to help support the Willis High School Band. All the boom booms we purchased worked well and we had very few issues with anything any of us purchased here. There may be other fireworks stands out there but I was very happy with what we had to choose from and having the opportunity to help out in funding the Willis High School Band. read more

Amazing family run business! For the new year and July 4 they have a shootout where they put on a show for each of the most popular fireworks and after the show offer a discount on fireworks. Also at the end of season they mark everything to 50% to start fresh for next season. Love this place! Run by a great family and the workers are usually band members/parents from Wills High and their parents. read more

I'm so happy we got our fireworks from Boomtown Fireworks this year. This is such a fantastic fireworks retailer. After shopping at firework stands for many years, I'm so glad we decided to come to a true retailer because the customer service you receive here is unlike anywhere else. If you're anything like me (aka: have no clue about fireworks except that you like loud pops & pretty colors), Boomtown is perfect for you because the staff is SO knowledgeable about every product. You can ask tons of questions and they all can tell you about the different fireworks, what would work best for what kind you're looking for, and they are all so friendly too! In fact, you can ask them to scan the big cakes & artillery shells & it will play a video on the TV of what the firework looks like. How cool is that?! No more trying to guess if your fireworks will be awesome... you can just see for yourself! The store is pretty big & they have tons of fireworks to choose from. LOTS of items in every category (no one could leave empty handed). They also have a LARGE stock of fireworks. I came the day before NYE and had zero problems finding anything I wanted, especially super popular novelty fireworks which sell out easily at small stands. Oh & I can't forget to mention how CLEAN the store was. Everything was so neatly organized & displayed. The neat freak in me was geeking out over it.
