I really enjoyed the store. A nice variety of books available with nice service. I'll come back next time I'm in Sioux City

Really nice selection of local authors. Stuffed animals as far as the eye can see. Really great location by Caribou Coffee.

Worst experience ever the person working seemed upset that we were there shopping.I spent over a…read morehundred dollars. I'm from out of town and when I tried to return an item no less than an hour later, she told me all I could get was store credit. I tried to explain that I don't live in this state and that would not work and she wouldn't budge. Very rude condescending and unhelpful. I have been a homework rewards member for many years and she did not even ask for my number to add to my rewards.

I have for many years shopped the Hallmark store at our local shopping center. I always enjoyed…read morebuying many items there. Then Evie's took ownership. Everything changed not all at once but little things like no more Gold Crown rewards no more a lot of things . Now I just visited the store on 4-29-19 buying several cards and as I arrive at the counter to pay, the owner is checking me out and I am reading all the many WE DO NOT ACCEPT THIS AND THAT at the register and one is saying WE NO LONGER ACCECPT GIFT CARDS. Well isn't that nice I have a nephew that gives me a gift card every year at Christmas so now I have a gift card that is of no value to me. This is ridiculous. In additon she is asking me if I want the gold crown seals and when I arrived home no seals. Is it really that expensive for this store to put them in the sack regardless. I was so bowled over by the fact she did not take gift cards I don't know what I said. No need to worry I will not be back to that store. Really too bad it is a lovely store but not for me. Here I come Dollar Store

This location is ran by a bunch of older women...which is totally fine and nothing wrong with…read morethat...but they must be freezing all the time because this place is ALWAYS a sauna! Also, no music...which just feels weird when you're in there shopping. The card shelves are always a mess. I couldn't find a birthday card for my Uncle at all. (Was looking for Uncle specific) even in the area that was labeled Birthday for Uncle. They are expensive. I never buy paper or bows from here. Cards are a decent price, none different than anywhere else. But if you want a collectible it'll cost ya. Sometimes they do clearance tables with some decent stuff, but they jack in their prices. If you DO buy a collectible the help is good. They'll even wrap it for you if you say it's a gift. Takes a little time but they do a good job. I LOVE their ornaments. They do sell cheap candy. And they're good about asking you for your Hallmark card. They do not accept coupons that aren't printed, so don't try to show one to them on your phone.

Closed as of July 3rd, 2018…read more I have loved coming here as a convenient store at the mall to shop for birthday cards and other things for occasions for people. They had a great variety of merchandise ranging from Rainbow Brite to Christmas ornaments and other things. And the service has always been exceptional. I was planning to buy a Rainbow Brite and Twink Christmas ornament as a gift for one of my sisters for her upcoming birthday in the next three months, which is set to be released ten days after the 4th of July this year, but now with this particular location closed (which is in a shopping center closest to my house), I'll be buying it online instead.

One of the few anchor-stores left to the Southern Hills Mall. They didn't have their doors open…read moregoing into the mall right away once allowed to open 'post-Covid.' (They do now.) They are requiring masks. (Obv I'm writing this during Covid, but I know this location well. I didn't base my Stars off their Covid rules.) The hours differ from the mall's somewhat, which is great. They actually stay open an hour or two later on Sundays. They've also done several events for book releases and have had theme nights. (I've personally participated in some Harry Potter cosplay!) This location doesn't have much for seating like I've seen other B&N's do. The kids' area is fantastic. They do readings every so often. The bathroom has ALWAYS been a nightmare. Maybe all the mall people use it thinking it's going to cleaner than the food courts'? It's a mess. Every time. Has a Starbucks and some tables. Full Starbucks menu. But no online ordering or can't use Starbucks gift cards. Which I think is odd, but must be the rules when a location is inside another business. They have two spots for registers but they're never both 'open.' SEVERAL times I've gone to one side of the store hoping to pay to having to turn around and go to the other side. I get not having all 8 registers open...but why not at least 1 per side? Music area is small and kinda lacking, IMO. But that's me. (I think this location is smaller than the average store size. At least seems like it.) It's honestly the only place in town to buy books minus a Target or Walmart. There may still be one more store WAY across town selling books, but I can't remember if they're still operating.

I am a big fan of this store, but due to a recent event, I actually canceled my membership here…read more Basically, in 2018, I was able to price-match as much as I wanted to as long as I had the Membership. However, as of 2019, that is no longer the case. At the time, Best Buy had the Blu-ray of The Big Bang Theory on sale for only $14.99, but the Best Buy, Target, and Walmart stores nearby did not have it. Barnes and Noble did have it and that is the reason why I went to the store to try to price-match. It wasn't that the store would not do a price-match of that caliber (we're talking a discount of about $35-40), it's that they flat-out do not price-match anymore. As a member, this is deeply insulting, not to mention that price-matching should be a basic practice of any business in 2019. Even if you are not making the same amount of money or even half of that, it is sure better than doing nothing for your customers. If you're looking to buy movies and TV show seasons here, I would not recommend it. They are very overpriced. However, if you are looking to buy books, by all means, go for it! You see, I do like the store, setup, and the Barnes and Noble Cafe. It is the "anti-price-matching" that I am against. I should also point out that this store does accept Apple Pay now, so that is a big plus too!
