This budget bookshop inside the Galleries is a bit hit or miss, and has all the latest bullshit biographies by all the so-called celebrities that have come out of the woodwork during the past 10 years. It's fairly good for children's books, but it's severely limited on anything that might break the mould or encourage to think a little differently from the masses. However, I did find the latest Rough Guide on South-East Asia in there for a few pounds less than the RRP, which was a bargain. But I don't know really - I'm all for bookshops, especially the small independents that are really passionate, and even Waterstones has gotten better in recent times, but I just don't see the point of this place when Amazon stocks near enough everything at less than the cost of a tin of beans. read more
