This was the case recently with one of my buyer clients who found her dream home - a retro ranch in West Nashville. Her list-price offer was accepted and we got under contract, completing the inspection which was a breeze, and the buyer agreeing to take the house 'as-is' with no repairs and give the seller some time to move out. It all looked fine till three days before closing a discovery that there was a $10k lien on the title due to the seller's unpaid card debt, which can sometimes happen. Not sure of the reasons why but the seller dug heels in by not allowing the buyer the entitled final walkthrough and refused to cooperate as per the contract and close. The deal stalled in a deadlock my buyer who wanted to proceed and purchase the house - and an uncooperative seller who refused to budge. But thanks to real estate attorney super hero John Rochford on the buyer's team, the transaction untangled, and the seller and buyer closed according to plan. John saved the day big time, my buyer is delighted and I am very appreciative of the expertise of John and his wonderful team at Rochford Law and Real Estate Title. Teamwork makes the dream work.

Loy Carney has a background in title law, he…read moreis a licensed attorney, and a go-getter realtor who pursued every avenue possible to ensure our house was sold. We had a difficult listing due to zoning and planning restrictions, and Loy pulled out all the stops to shepherd it through the process every step of the way, and he got us top-dollar. But his service was more than that. He took us on as a do-or-die case, pulling out all the tricks in both his realtor and his attorney bags, to keep up hopeful when it looked like it would fall through, and to do what we needed to do to put our best foot forward. I would recommend Loy Carney to anyone selling a house. I would imagine he'd do a buyer just as good a job, as he has all the connections of a seasoned veteran realtor. He was personable, resourceful, and I honestly don't think five stars are enough. Loy is outstanding.

I cannot say enough great things about Loy. He is the consummate professional, using all of his knowledge and skill to get his clients the results they desire. If my family ever has real estate needs again, there is only one person that we will call upon, and that is Loy.

My experience was extremely negative. The handling of my matter was rushed, disorganized, and completely lacking in the level of care and reasoning expected from a normal legal practitioner. It often seemed like decisions were being pushed forward without any clear or logical strategy, which made the entire process feel chaotic and poorly thought out. Just as concerning was the overall level of professionalism. During my time there, I personally observed behavior in the office that I found inappropriate for a professional setting and that raised serious concerns for me about judgment and focus. It made it difficult to feel confident that my case was being handled with the seriousness or soberness it deserved. Communication only made things worse. My questions were brushed aside, and I was left feeling ignored and completely in the dark. I left this experience with zero confidence in this attorney's judgment or approach. If you're looking for someone careful, thoughtful, and professional, look elsewhere.

She represented Parc at Clarksville Apartments (also Crooks) after they denied me access to my apartment for two months and then charged me rent for those months! I had to go to court to regain possession which cost me a lot of money. The court dismissed Parc at Clarksville's attempt to evict me after they granted a squatter keys to my apartment and mailbox while I was traveling for work, and they denied me assistance regaining access to the apartment. Jennifer McCoy began eviction processes against me after I was constructively evicted. The court dismissed their case and ordered them to pay all costs and taxes. I was granted possession by the courts and only stayed for a day or two to move out and returned the keys to them. My rent was paid in full when they denied me access. They charged me $2500 after I moved out, and Jennifer McCoy is too cowardly to answer any calls from the people she is stealing from. This is a predatory business and they do not adhere to State or National Landlord/Tenant Laws. Charging a tenant rent who was constructively convicted is against the law.... yet, Jennifer doubles down. She then hired collection agencies to harrass me. She is unethical, predatory, and breaks the law, as is Parc at Clarksville. Do not do business with either of them!
