This has to be one of the coolest pools in the entire world. It's on the iconic Bondi Beach in Sydney Australia and fills with the salty ocean waves that crash over the wall and into the pool. It therefore isn't the easiest to swim in if it's a wavy day, but it's definitely a bucket list item to cross off. The view is stunning and it's just cool. Again, you'll probably barely actually swim here because of the waves (there were usually a few men doing laps who belong to the club), and you'll have to pay to get in. I'd recommend just coming once for the view.

This place is the heart of Bondi Beach. It marks the entrance to the beach as in a form of validation. Beyond this point there are a sea of people laying out on the beachfront especially on the holidays. In order to get to the pool you have to pay a little entrance fee on the street level entrance. Then you walk 2 steep flight of stairs to go to the pool level that brings you to the oceanfront level. It is as magical as it seems. The waves of the water crashes against the white walls of the pool. The blissful moment lies in the calm of the pool water with the splash of the ocean water mists that may come across your way if you are closer to the edge. This is place is surely a slice of heaven.

This is obviously one of the most beautiful and coolest swimming pool in the world. How to get there: By trains? You can catch the Eastern Suburb Lines and get off at Bondi Junction Station. Then catch the busses any of #380, #381, #389 and #333. The quickest ones are bus#333, however, you have to be an Opal Card holders. Otherwise, drivers won't let you in. By Busses? From Circular Quay, you can catch any busses above bus numbers. You don't have to change, just keep seating and bus will take you to all the way to beautiful Bondi Beach. As soon as you see the beautiful Beach, you can get off the bus and you will not miss this beautiful swimming pool. Just keep walking to the entrance. Entry Fees: Pool Entry: Adult $6.50 Child $4.50 Spectator $4.50 Also, there are some other facilities such as Gym, Yoga By The Sea and even Massages with extra cost. Street parking area is available, however, it's almost impossible to find the spot. It's always busy.

Sunbaking... swimming... yoga... a morning coffee... teaching the kids to swim... I love this pool! I learnt to swim in this saltwater pool. When I grew up a little, I used the 50m pool for laps... training for my Bronze Medallion and the Surf Club. As the surf club (and full piece swimsuits) became less of my scene... the Icebergs was a great place to hang out with friends... feeling free and reckless (but safe enough for my mother not to stress). Major renovations and adulthood made the bar and restaurant a great place to hang out... and these days, I love an early morning Yoga by the Sea session, some laps and a long lay in the sun with a coffee and magazine... The Icebergs has given me a lifetime of great experiences. It's a place that everyone can enjoy... young, old, fat, thin, local, visitor, athletes and those who still need floaties... For as long as I can remember, it's been closed for cleaning on Thursdays (and often a little too seaweedy for my liking on Wednesdays) and Saturday mornings are pretty busy with swim clubs and lessons. Entry is reasonable and facilities are great - clean bathrooms, showers, sauna, gym, massage (although not all these amenities are included in your entry). The stairs down to the pool can be a little scary if you're carrying a squirming child... but otherwise it's a great place for kids. If kids aren't your scene, there's plenty of space away from the "baby pool" to stretch out in peace (along with the occasional celeb/model) and a nice little cafe for food/drink. I look forward to all the experiences I'm yet to have at the Icebergs... hopefully I'll be one of the old ladies in a funky swimming cap, doing super-slow breast stroke in the future...

I flew from LA to Sydney on holiday. The Bondi pool was on my bucket list and it did not disappoint. The pool is located at the beginning of Bondi Beach which is 20 minutes from downtown Sydney. For the month of April, I was not sure if the water would be freezing. It was not and just perfect for lap swimming. It was also real treat to swim in sea water. The crashing of the waves against the walls of pool added a special ambience. Admission was $7 and the pool was not crowded for a weekday at 10am. Locker rentals were $3 and a warm to hot shower was available. The facilities were spartan but the swimming serious. What else can you ask for??

One of d best places to dine in at Bondi beach. Amazing views and yum food. One does need ID to enter if u r a guest unless u know a member. We had lunch on a beautiful sunny arvo drowned down with chilled lager. Look out for the daily specials and salads. The wine and cocktail menu is pretty good and well priced for the views one gets sitting on the balcony. Nearly a full house so very popular. Def a visit if one is at Bondi beach. I Posted pics of menu and views. Enjoy

It is a long plane ride here from Seattle but a unique swimming experience in a 50 yard salt water pool. If you swim in the lane closest to the sea the waves sometimes roll into that lane for an even more challenging swim. Wear goggles to be able to see better.

Say Bondi Icebergs and you might think of cocktails and canapés but actually there is much more to this familiar name. 'The Bergs' is actually a swimming club and is home to that iconic ocean pool that sits at the south end of the even more iconic Bondi Beach. More often than not during the summer months the pool is draped in gorgeous tanned bodies which makes for good inspiration if you're there for a couple of laps. It must be the only ocean pool in Sydney that charges entry ($5.50) which is a bit steep but that does give you access to changing rooms and million dollar view. If you're thinking about becoming a member then you'll have to be prepared to swim all year round. Winter swimming is part of the condition of membership and if you baulk at the 12C water temp then you'll be kicked out of the club!
This is a must do on your visit! It's $10 AUD ($7 USD) for access! It's a great value for this experience. The pools are saltwater. There's a dedicated lap pool for those that want to actually swim, and there's another pool for those that want to take a dip. The waves also crash over the edge, plus you have the beautiful Bondi Beach all around! You can't ask for anything else. The pool area was also very clean! Be sure to get to the pool early enough to secure your spot! read more
One of my favorite highlights and places in Australia!! Truly breathtaking. Even though the main iceberg big pool was closed due to high winds and tides, the sights and beauty of the water was truly mesmerizing. After making the walk from Coogee, seeing the icebergs was a breath of fresh air. I stared for quite awhile and took far too many pictures! Definitely the most beautiful body of water I have ever seen. read more
In the heart of the famous Bondi Beach, this spot showed up in many "Things to Do In Australia" Parking: Street parking, you're in Bondi Beach so this place gets busy. A lot of street parking and if you're fancy, they do valet parking. Ambiance: Bondi Beach is breathtaking from the ocean, the path, murals, and view. It's a beautiful place. Add the Icebergs and its icing on the cake. It's pretty pricey and they do have community pools around the area but it's a pleasant area. Overall: 4 Stars. Lovely spot and a lovely space to be. There are other pools but this is something to appreciate. For serious swimmers and water enthusiasts, this is a pleasant place to be. Advice: * Come early, this place gets busy and be sure to check the weather. read more

Most outrageously expensive coffee in Sydney! Bondi icebergs is milking it from every angle possible! Must admit they show creativity. Latest creativity is to impose an entry fee just to gain access to the premises. This makes the most expensive coffee in town when you are forced to pay a $10 entry fee prior to even ordering your coffee at the cafe place on premises. Don't they say: Best things in life are free? And the worst things in life are those you feel you've been outrageously taken advantage of! read more

The best ocean pool in the world. I joined YELP to write this review. I saw some negative reviews about my favourite spot in Sydney, and just had to say something. Sure it's hyped up, and can get a little crowded; but Icebergs is the most wonderful place. Apart from a few selfie taking tourists (and locals), this place is so chilled, so fun, so healthy. I'm torn though, writing this review, as I want everyone to know the truth, but want it still to be a little secret. The pool waters amazing (and slightly warmer than the sea), you can warm up in the sauna, or have the best toasted sandwich of your life at the cafe. ...well it tastes so good after 50 laps. Icebergs is the heart of Sydey. read more

I took the kids up to Sydney over Xmas and we visited this ocean pool - in a word FANTASTIC. I'm from Vic and we have nothing like this. Pure ocean water crashing into the pool. Perhaps the best swim of my life. Completely safe for the kids as well. SR read more

I really like this pool. 50 meters for the swimmers and smaller pool for the kids or even non swimmers just to chill. they have yoga lessons there too just next to the pool over looking the ocean and you can just work on your tan afterwords as there is a plenty place to put your towel down. Great place on the sunny day. read more
The highlight of our stay in Bondi. I had a whole pitcher of sangria to myself, which was not the best idea, considering I we walked there to burn calories. The booze and sunshine also made me incredibly sleepy and it was our last day and not meant to be wasted on a mid-day nap. I guess Kim Kardashian was there not too long ago, promoting something, but I doubt any of the locals were impressed, since Aussie's seem cooler than that and to not be so starstruck. I also ordered a nacho and gobbled that down while taking in the breathtaking view of the ocean crashing up against the Olympic sized salt water pool (which you can pay to swim laps in). For the party crowd, you can just lay around and soak up rays, which most of the younger people were doing. From the balcony, where we found a table, you can take in all of Bondi beach. It really is a magnificent view and well worth whatever you order just to take it all in. read more

Great place for a quick swim. Change rooms are not super clean but the view and the ambience makes up for it. Had a great healthy breakfast with excellent coffee at the pool café. Pool is ocean/salt water. Massage was excellent and they were able to take me right away without a booking. read more

This is the most disgusting facility. We paid to shower in what looked like a prison shower with clumps of hair and urine on the floor. Truly disgusting place. Stay away from the pool and locker room facility. read more

The facility is not as good as it looks on website. Actually quite dirty. I signed up for a yoga class there and it was very unorganized. There was confusion over the location of the class and the locals that were attending the pool were very upset that were were setting up a class and taking over their space. It ended up in a screaming match with a 200lb thug screaming at me calling me a dumb american and many other things. I spoke to the management and they did nothing. I would never go back. read more

You will have no other swimming experience like the one you'll have at Icebergs. Imagine an Olympic size 50 metre pool, neighbouring sharp rocks, an active ocean and the worlds most famous beach. This is icebregs and its been around long before you and I, and it will be there long after you're gone. There are a few rumours (or facts) about its namesake, but the one I like is that old men you to throw ice into the pool and jump in at winter to invigorate themselves with a shock to the system.... I don't know if its true - but I kind of like it.... I often walk past the pool during my Bondi to Bronte walk and on a hot summers day it's really hard to not jump the balcony and swan dive into the blue waters below. To visit legally it's going to cost you $5.50 which is not bad for a pool session... The water you're swimming in comes from the ocean so expect salty freshness and frizzy hair.... The temperature changes daily as it's an outdoor Ocean Pool - so check Twitter of you want to know how the water temperature is. read more

This is one of the best places to enjoy a cool drink with good friends. Breathtaking sights, wonderful selection of beer and wine plus an ambience that is difficult to match. Take a walk along Bondi and settle yourself here for a 'chillax' time. highly recommended. read more

Visiting the Bondi Icebergs Pool was an absolute highlight of our trip. From the moment we arrived, the setting takes your breath away -- this iconic ocean pool perched right against the sheer power of the Pacific is as dramatic and beautiful as it gets. Whether the waves are gentle or crashing over the edge, it's an unforgettable backdrop that feels uniquely Australian. read more

This place is overhyped due to the social media craze and Asian tourist that flood this place hoping just to get that one perfect selfie in the green pool filled algae. Unless you crave spending 8 dollars to take a photo by a white wall, do yourself a favorite and go to Bronte read more
