The space inside is huge but the layout completely ridiculous and wasteful. The first thing you'll see is rails, rails and more rails of clothes. I'm sure if you visit early on Monday morning the clothes are in some kind of significant order, however by a Saturday afternoon there is no obvious solution to finding clothes in correct sizes or even the same style. The rest of the store is just like some Blue Peter bring & buy sale, really tacky awful items that, if original and highly priced, you'd see in an eccentrics mansion but from TK Maxx looks like the result of cleaning out a shut-in's house from the wrong side of the tracks. The staff all seem to have realised how awful this place is long before you arrive and therefore have no reason to help you in finding anything, or giving you correct prices for the hundreds of items without price tags, or doing anything at a speed quicker than an arthritic turtle. I know people who rave about this place but these are the same people who use the shop for fancy dress outfits so take that for what it's worth, whatever you do try and steer clear of TK Maxx.

Then a great little Home section which is good for gifts or your own personal use photo albums/frames, books, condiments, teas/coffees, chocolates, toiletries, pots/pans, utensils, flasks, bathroom bits and bobs, bedroom bits and bobs, ornaments, mirrors, luggage....etc! Downstairs are designer discount trainers/shoes/boots for men, women and children and womenswear and menswear. BUT!!!....Although I do like it, there are a few golden rules..always try things on as sizes vary alot! Always check your item of clothing over for damage of any kind...and definately allow a while for searching, you really do lose time in here!!

It is a ladies fashion store that also sells accessories such as belts and bags. They normally have really great sales on, especially in the Summer and just after Christmas, where there are rails of items just inside the store full of great bargains. The clothes are good value for money. They are not cheap like places like Matalans, but are less expensive than stores such as River Island. I would say they are mid range prices. I find that they do great Jeans in Krisp with really funky detailing on them and also great trendy knitwear. I do find that the sizing is really small though. I am easily a size 12, but I sometimes can't even get a size 14 past my hips, so unfortunately I don't always get to buy the things I like. It mainly seems to be the Jeans that are sized wrongly as everything else is always fine. It is a good store though, and the assistants are helpful,and normally quite chatty when you buy something or go to try something on. There are pleny of changing rooms too.

Just happened to pop in on a Saturday afternoon and I bought 2 lovely dresses and held one back until pay day!! One of the dresses was a Myleenes Klass maxi dress which is gorgeous and the 2 other dresses are going to be great for summer time and my Holiday to Spain in a few weeks time. Once I was in the shop I kept on finding more and more things I liked. It's not old fashioned or smelly like I've read it's nice and clean and the changing room was a nice size to with good lighting. The lady was really lovely and helpful, nice to have one to one attention when it's sometimes hard to find something that suits you in say the normal high street stores. If I'm happy with the item and it fits really good then I don't mind paying a bit more as no one else will probably be wearing it. Very happy and look forward to seeing more as now I know the designers that suit my shape for once!!!!

I purchased a little dress for the party sometime ago from this shop, was…read morenot over the impressed with the elderly lady serving me as she appeared rather rude, but as i needed the dress for the party that evening, I bought it. After the party I washed the dress as label advised, and was horrified to see how the colour had run and ruined rest of my washing, The dress looked mess and I took it back to shop. The owner (same lady) refused to talk to me saying I must have washed my dress in bleach or in too high temperature, so as far as she was concerned ,,, no refund no replacement! She refused to give the detail of the supplier me contact, denied having any similar issues previously re items from her shop, which was rubbish as there is a review re incident from some one else! I pointed out that she should read reviews and perhaps Trading standards has been in touch with her already...? She denied again and I informed her that I will be taking this further and making a formal complaint to Trading Standards! The shop is tiny, the window display looks like some 5 years old has put together as the items hangs from the hangers, rude and arrogant shopkeeper!

They sell a range of jeans, skirts, tops, trousers etc, all of which are vey young and trendy looking, but some of the items do look a bit cheap, but that is reflected in the price as they are not expensive in here. Saying that, you can get some really nice unusual pieces too. The best part about this store is the shoe department at the back as they have some really unusual shoes and boots and definitely worth a look as the prices on these are really good too. The staff are really helpful and happy to reserve things for you if you want to pick them up later. A nice little clothes store that sells young fashion and footwear.
