I knew that they couldn't transform me into someone 20lbs lighter or anything like that, so my expectations were not super high to begin with. I did this about a year ago, and was just looking back at the photos and saw only one review for the place on yelp. I just wanted to give folks an idea, and to make sure they speak up if they do this as to your preferences. As I think it could be really good. The day of this shoot, I had about 5 mimosas to help give me the courage i needed! My friend had purchased this is a gift for myself and two other ladies. We had a really fun morning getting ready though, and the studio was very open to us looking at outfits and making it fun. I have to say though, the makeup "artist" was rough. I know how to put on fake lashes, and i know i would've done a better job. Then she put on so much blush i looked like a cartoon character, along with too much eye liner and base that was a bit dark. I questioned it, and she said well it's only due to the photo lighting we do it like this. Well just as i expected, I looked a little nuts in the photos to say the least. She lined my lips which made them look so small and just weird in addition to everything else. I'm very fair skinned so everything stood out, in a not so great way. Lighter makeup would've made a lot more sense. I mean why not ask someone a question or two about their makeup preferences, she did all three of us exactly the same and we all have completely different coloring. My one friend had base on that was so light for her skin tone, that looked crazy in itself. The add the blush. yikes. The lady photographer was very nice, and very patient. The only thing i will say there is that the poses were very dated. And why not ask the subject, do you have any ideas for some poses at the end of each outfit? Placing my hand in my hair and looking down makes no sense, or having me push on a wall and look up at a camera made me look like i was challenged by a wall. Lastly, getting our results. She said less than 7 days, it was 3 weeks later. I didn't mind waiting, but my friends were quite eager. If she would've promised 3 weeks, then no big deal. But by setting an expectation of much sooner it made the experience not so great. We wouldn't have cared if she said 4 weeks, as doing touch ups etc, can take time i would think for 3 people plus her other clients. It's just setting the expectations. It was fun, i liked some of my photos where my makeup wasn't the focal point. Overall a good experience but had some major flaws, makeup being the biggest in my mind. read more

I certainly wish I had positive experience to share on this site. Unfortunately I have anything but. Despite the difficulty I had getting a hold of the owner during the month before, I was contacted BY EMAIL around 8:00pm the evening before my shoot informing that it was being cancelled. Not only did my friends and I take off work for this, but it was our Christmas gifts for our husbands we have been planning on since November. Upon requesting a phone call and surprisingly receiving one, I was basically blamed for business not being handled appropriately on their end. All this to say, there are many other professionals out there who will be much more respectful of your time and deserve your business. read more

Please DO NOT purchase their Living Social deal. This company is a scam. I purchased this about a year or so ago and attempted to schedule the session several times with no success. They kept rescheduling and had VERY limited days and times available since there are only 2 photographers. Took forever to get back with me in follow up to voicemails and emails. Also, they are not at all friendly and did not even offer to refund the purchase after they could not accommodate a session prior to the deal expiration date or apologize for their lack of being able to accommodate the session. It just does not seem like a very smart way to run a business. I wish I had something positive to share about the experience, but I just can't even think of one thing. read more

I was completely disappointed in the experience here. It was difficult to reach anyone by phone. They wanted to communicate via email only. The "professional" make-up was a set of lashes and a straightener. I could have done a better job myself. I felt rushed through my session and didn't really get what I was looking for. When I voiced that to the owner, I never received a response. Completely disappointed in the entire experience! Save your money and go to a better studio that will give you great service and pictures that you'd be proud to show your significant other. read more

The experience was good but it took forever to get a hold of her regarding my gallery and then ordering. The communication is terrible and the finished product wasn't that great. Supposedly, the pictures are airbrushed and touched up and mine didn't look like it. I recommended them to a friend and she tried numerous times trying to schedule an appointment and they never got back to her so she is currently trying to get a refund back from Living Social. I would never recommend them again and wouldn't go back. read more

I had a Groupon and was excited to have the photos done Nov 30, but very disappointed with the finished product. There is no professional hair stylist/make up artist; the photographer has a couple of flat irons and applies the make- up for you. The studio concept is very cool but I did not feel comfortable and I did not feel at ease like others have stated in their reviews. It did take quite some time to receive the image proofs even after I was told I would have "the best of the best in a couple of days," and when I did receive them, one of the sets I paid extra for was not there. When I asked to view them, I was informed they had been lost, but did receive an apology and was assured I would receive a refund for that set change. I asked for a receipt reflecting this refund, but did not receive one or even a response that I would. I was not happy with the 54 image proofs that were sent, quite disappointed actually, and asked to see some of the remaining 300 images she had. After several emails back and forth, she did agree to send some more images that evening, Dec 11, which I have yet to see. I have sent subsequent emails asking to view the additional images she promised me, but still no response. Do yourselves a favor, ladies, and take your business to a studio that respects your time, has professional stylists and make your experience fun and comfortable no matter your shape and/or whether you have Groupon or not. read more
