I've been wanting to try this burger truck for awhile now, but still haven't made the caloric investment. Took hubby instead! lol He ordered, 'Can I get just a double cheeseburger with, ketchup only?' 'Sure,' was the reply, 'You want to make that a combo?' Nope, they had realized the mistake and anticipated he would be back. They included a side of french fries for his trouble. THIS is how business should be run! In a perfect world, no mistakes, but we don't live in that world, so own it and make it right, like Bomb Burger did. While he was getting his order amended, I noticed a Farmer Boys across the street. I've never been, so I pulled up their menu and saw a dbl cheeseburger cost more there, but they also charge $6 for the combo upgrade. I showed that to my husband and said, Bomb Burger is competitive, prices are just up everywhere, but I'm willing to bet the Bomb Burger quality is better than the Farmer across the street. An hour and 40 mins for a burger is not ok. The guys are nice, the burger was actually pretty good. Taste was pretty on point, I got the bomb burger which was flavorful and tasty. I was curious about the cheese being in the middle and it didn't disappoint. Buns were pretty deflated and sad looking, the bottom bun got pretty soggy fast. Fries were way over salted. The guy had a salt container with large holes in it, shook a bunch in the fry bowl and did 1 toss to mix. Oi. Watching the guys try to take on several orders at once, the main thing I noticed is the grill is the right size to support it, but they kept using half of it for buns. That entire grill should have been covered in burgers to accommodate the line. Use a different heating element for the buns and you will speed the time up. They're called Bomb Burger for a reason! Their burgers are absolutely amazing and quite possibly the best burger I've ever had. They melt the cheese legitimately with steam, not just throwing it on the grill. The meat couldn't be any juicier and the bun couldn't be any toastier. The pickles are just the right amount of sweetness to put on a fireworks show in your mouth. Even after the first bite, I was already dreading the end of the burger. Their fries are also amazing. The Cajun seasoning is just the cream on top of it. I didn't know if it would be worth it to stand in line for 2 burgers, fries, and a drink for $14.
