Lately I've been seeing many Bojangles commercials on TV so I decided to go visit this one located on Peters Creek Road in Roanoke, Virginia, for the very first time, and have breakfast there. This Bojangles is owned and operated by local franchisee Stan Seymour (via his company RoBo, LLC). Seymour currently owns 14 Bojangles restaurants across Virginia, largely concentrated in the Southwest Virginia and Roanoke Markets. He has been operating Bojangles franchises in the region for over 25 years. Before going to the restaurant I had downloaded the Bojangles app with an offer of a free Bo's Chicken Sandwich but when looking up this location in the app it did not show up. When I arrived at the restaurant a friendly young lady greeted me at the ordering counter and I showed her the app and asked her about the offer. She told me that this restaurant did not participate in this offer nor in the app. She called her Shift /Team Leader who confirmed this. Later I found out that this location is owned by the above-mentioned franchise group that does not participate in the digital coupon and reward programs offered by corporate. Because they operate independently from the corporate app system, they do not process online orders, honor promo codes, or grant reward points at their registers. But continuing with the dining experience, the young lady at the counter was very kind and took my order. I ordered a Bacon, Egg & Cheese Biscuit Combo, with a regular 16oz.Coffee, and Bo-Tato Rounds, which I had never heard the name before but was fascinated by them after I tried the first one. It is their version of tater tots. These signature golden-brown, mini hash browns are seasoned with a hint of onion and are a popular side or breakfast fixin'. I also ordered one of their Original Breakfast Bo-RITOs. It was not only the largest breakfast burrito that I've ever had at a fast-food restaurant, but packed with delicious country-style sausage, fluffy eggs, crispy Bo-Rounds (hash browns), melted Monterey Jack cheese, and Southern-style gravy. All wrapped in a warm flour tortilla. I invite you to view my photographs accompanying this review to get a better sense of the place and the high-quality of their food. And for dessert I had to try their New Blackberry Cobbler which is a Southern-inspired summer dessert featuring a warm, made-from-scratch buttermilk biscuit as the base, and generously topped with a juicy, slightly tart blackberry filling and finished with a sweet icing drizzle. What else can I say, everything was prepared and served fresh in a reasonable time by very friendly and efficient employees led by an amazing and also very friendly Team Leader. The condiments station was very clean and organized as well as the softdrink machine. And the food was amazingly delicious, served in generous portions. I truly enjoyed eating it. It tasted like home-style. So much so that at the end I didn't seem to mind that this franchise operated as it did. I liked it and highly recommend it for the best fast-food dining experience ever. read more

First time trying Bojangles, and we came specifically for the biscuits m; they did not disappoint! The blueberry biscuits were amazing and definitely the highlight for us. We also got the chicken tenders plate, and it was pretty good too. Honestly, the tenders here in Virginia are better than the Popeyes tenders we've had at the Virginia locations. Overall, a solid first experience and definitely worth trying if you're in the area. read more

We always ALWAYS take our hockey tickets to this location to redeem them, and always buy additional food during the transaction. There are typically 2 of us in the car and we redeem all 4 tickets through the drive through. I have called the manager ahead several times to make sure it's doable and it hasn't ever been an issue. They were closed yesterday. We went today to redeem tickets. One of the families who went to the game had some sick members, so I was attempting to pick up for them as well. I explained this at the drive through. However, this particular manager would only allow us to redeem 2 this time - because only myself and my granddaughter were in the car (We are the 2 who typically pick up the biscuits or tea after a win). It was frustrating to say the least. We chose not to redeem the tickets at this time and ordered from somewhere else. Will let the other family decide if they want to go through the drive through feeling sick. I must say, Bojangles lost out on a pretty large order today. I realize that it probably didn't hurt their pocketbook or business - since hockey is popular in Roanoke. But thought it worth the mention. Consistency is important. Don't go here. Too often you'll get the wrong order after having to struggle with whoever is doing orders at the board, pay, then get a completely wrong order. Of course, this is after waiting 15 minutes or more because you aren't the first to get a wrong order. The food had good flavor but we caught it about 30 minutes before closing. The Cajun beans were the highlight of the meal. I would say it is about on par with Popeyes chicken. Got their usual juicy and delicious pulled pork sandwich and the yummy seasoned fries tonight, but the pink lemonade I got with it was essentially pink water... barely any flavor at all. That happens... no big deal. Often it's just low syrup. That apparently wasn't the case, so maybe something got bumped or there was a kink in the line so not enough syrup was mixing with the water. Doesn't matter... it's a drink. At other places they'd just try another fountain or if the same syrup bag was supplying both, they'd check the setting or make sure the lines weren't getting pinched by something. For some reason, a lady who I assume was the manager got really indignant about it as if I had insulted her personally. No idea what that was about. The woman who took my order even offered me some sugar packets, which was nice of her, but that doesn't add flavor unless they're somehow lemonade-flavored sugar. The second attempt was maybe slightly less watered-down, but didn't taste much like lemonade. Every place is different, but I've been to Bojangles many times and it's not usually like that. Maybe they've decided the setting needs to be lower to cut costs, I don't know. I ended up just settling for a Starry, which tasted fine. It just boggles my mind that they got so flustered by someone daring to criticize their lemonade. I simply meant it didn't taste like the typical Bojangles pink lemonade I'm used to, and it didn't seem like a vendor change or anything. If it was, that's all they had to say. I really felt like I was the enemy and should have just taken whatever I was given and gone home. Maybe I would have if it were the free tea, but I paid for the drink, and even paid extra for a large. I can get water out of my fridge at home... if I'm paying for a drink, it should taste like one. Their soda had an adequate amount of flavor, so it's definitely something with the lemonade. Still, had I known they'd handle it so poorly I'd have taken the loss and not bothered them about it. Being from New England I had never even heard of a Bojangles. I stopped over at this one while road tripping and discovered the dirty chicken n fixins that is Bojangles. Overall food quality is pretty good, the biscuits used for sandwiches are quite tasty and the sides are excellent. The clientele at this particular location was hilarious. It was like the most stereotypical hill people all decided to meet up at one restaurant. I'm talking pregnant teens, kids decked out solely in Fox Racing and WWF licensed clothing, plenty of NASCAR accessories and jacked up pickups. There might have been 3 people with high school degrees in the whole place....and that was me and my friends. read more

This is a Fried Chicken fast food place. They have very good chicken and biscuits. I got a dark meat snack pack on Sunday afternoon, as well as a pork chop biscuit and a sweet potato pie. The pie was the best I have had in a while. Not too sweet or spicy. The pork chop sandwich was great. I have had better chicken, but friends wanted to stop to get some chicken to take home before hitting the highway to Columbus, Ohio. They had heard how good Bojangles chicken was. To me it was OK. But I did like the pork chop biscuit and pie so I gave it 4 stars for that. read more

Was in line for over 30 minutes. Line was not moving, not sure what they were going inside or what the problem was but this is unacceptable. If you don't have enough employees or food then close for the day. People shouldn't have to wait that long. read more

Time to stop going to Bojangles. The fries had NO seasoning and the chicken was WAY TOO spicy. The chicken was soggy with grease, but had a good hot temperature. Polite service, clean restaurant and lots of good food! The salt may kill you, but the delicious sweet tea will bring you back. We had chicken biscuits with cheese. The biscuits are buttery heaven, the chicken was delicious. My only complaint was that the sandwich wasn't warm enough to melt the cheese. The country ham biscuits were salty and savory, and we couldn't get enough. The mashed potatoes and gravy were surprisingly good. We're used to KFC mashed, but these tasted like potatoes! The gravy was tasty, with a bit of black pepper that built as you ate it. For fast food chicken I give this a 4/5, and the biscuits alone rate a 5/5! read more

Went in to this location on 04-03-2017 usually this is the best experience and food of any resterant around. At 8.30 I went through the drive thru the guy that took the order was rude beyond belief and right after I paid for my food and went to drive up to the next window he yelled for me to come back very rudely when I got back there he rudely asked me to pay for my meal I said I already did here's the receipt..Ohhh he says..so then I got my meal and it was the worst presentation I ever seen and the smell made me ill to my stomach and my sinuses..so when I looked at the meal I noticed they didn't put something with the order so I took it in and told the mgr..she had a pissed off look on her face and acted confrontational as well with me..here's the deal you morons..I had been going in there since 2011 and never had a bad experience at all but I noticed the crew and mgr that was there this time was a different crew. Doesn't matter' I believe they know when retirees get their pay and this is how they treat those who get paid on those certain times of month..every bojangles resteraunt has now lost my business for ever. Good food Good Service in the morning and lunch but don't expect to much at nite. If I m paying for fresh fries I expect them even if I have to wait . Seem to be a huge problem at nite They want to get rid of the fries on the heat table no matter how long they been sitting. Its my money I go there 4 or more times a week and can't get fresh fries . Their manager really made this place 5 star. He remembers me every time I go by and always made me feel welcome there. Such a great guy and such a great food too! You'd think you're getting a simple serving when you order a breakfast biscuit but oh no, you're getting a bigger bang for your buck when you do! The customer service here is awful. I presented a copoun to the cashier and he proceeded to get the manager on duty Chance. Chance came out from the kitchen and rudely said this coupon is years and years old in a rude manner. He began to tell me the history of what type of chicken bojangles served etc. He was condescending and very nasty. With that said that location will not get a dime of my money.
