Praise baby jesus! A Thai restaurant in Brussels where 1)…read morethe food isn't copiously sugared beyond edibility. 2) spicy labeling actually delivers spicy food! These are not easy qualities to come by here in any East or South East Asian restaurants in this city! And to think---this is delivered in a super casual, not so busy that you have to make reservations (like almost every other restaurant in the area)...AND---in a place where you have plenty of vegan options! Consider my mind blown. My sister got the green curry tofu and I got the panang curry tofu. While the Panang has a slightly sweet taste to it, it was not overshadowed by the definite spiciness that awesome guy who took our order promised that he could deliver to us. Also---customer service here was beautiful! It's rare when you can quickly be belly-laughing with the person taking your order. The man was great in guiding us through our spicy options and had such a great sense of humor. We got our food to go. For a touch over €20, it's definitely one of the cheaper places to grab Thai food. Everything tasted great. The only thing that could make this experience better is if they served brown rice as an option. Hooray!!!! Hooray for an amazing Thai restaurant! So glad we stumbled on this joint on a random walk around the hood. Oh!!! And another HUGE bonus: they have a big sign that reads: NO MSG. Cue celebration!

Plenty of meat might sound good, but when you find yourself with a plate dominated by large pieces and not much else but the sauce and plain rice, it's hardly an amazing culinary experience. Both of us left our meals half eaten and felt disappointed. Upon looking online (outside of Yelp), I see plenty of people have noted the vegetable scarcity that apparently affects Bois Savanes...what a pity they don't take notice given the amount of competition out there. In the past I've enjoyed going there for lunch - welcome service and nice setting. The food was always fine; nothing remarkable but the Schuman area isn't exactly full of choice considering the potential client base...
