I visited the Boden warehouse & offices this weekend for one of their warehouse/clearance sales. I don't normally do warehouse sales due to crazy crowds and people who will smack you with their bags, but $200 Boden dresses for $30 will get me up early in the AM. Boden knows how to do a warehouse sale. We only arrived 15 minutes beforehand, trying to cut down our waiting outside in the cold time, and we were pleasantly surprised to find that the waiting space was INSIDE! 500 or so folks were already in line, and they could have easily accommodated another 500 inside before folks would have had to endure the cold. Once they opened, they had incredible crowd control. Being at the back of the line, we waited another 15 or 20 minutes before they released us into the sale (they were counting to try to keep down the beatings). There was still PLENTY to look at. For the price of one dress on clearance on their website (about 50% off the original price), I bought two dresses, a skirt, a shirt, and a pair of pants for my husband. So the prices were definitely even better than normal web clearance. They also had a dressing room area set up for the women - a big curtain draped area with mirrors. Yes, a few more mirrors would have been nice, but having a dressing area at all is a major perk! Easy to get to from I-476 or I-81, it's an easy stop. They do a majority of their warehouse sales off site, but having the large space makes life easier. Just remember you own bag - you could either buy a reusable bag from them, or take a trash bag. read more

I have never been treated more rudely in my 60 years than by the woman running your outlet store in downtown Scranton, today 10-17-2025 at opening this morning. I came in wearing a mask. She wanted to know why? ( why should that matter?) I started a new chemo cancer treatment last week and had a dermatology appt in town and figured while I'm out I'll shop for my grandsons birthday. So I explained that to her, not that it was any of her business, she said judging as if she would know better than I do what I need to be doing..."should you be out?" I stated "well sh&t still needs to get done!" She then started in on ,"well I've had cancer , I know!" I'm sorry unless you are debilitated with fatigue and just wanna try to feel normal for a few hours before you need your 5 hour nap don't tell me you know or you wouldn't have been so rude and disrespectful to someone who is sick. Not worth the drive to get there! 3 small racks of dresses, a shelf with a few tops and pants and about 8 pairs of shoes. They had some kids stuff too, but not much. The sales associate was on the phone, personal, and did not even look up to acknowledge anyone in the store. At least the neighboring stores were cute! read more

This store is located in Scranton now. Typical outlet, hit or miss. But if you find something you like, it's a deal. More than 50% off the retail price. I always stop in when I'm in Scranton. I don't know what the store hours are currently. read more

I love looking through Boden catalogs, but the prices always seem a bit steep - so I was excited to check out the outlet in Pittston, the town where most of my family lives. The store itself is really cute and there is plentiful street parking. I really really wanted to get a few items each time I was there, since the prices are so good, but I never found anything I wanted to buy, unfortunately. Shoes and boots seem priced so well, but of course, the only sizes they had were either small (6) or large (10 and up) - leaving out my average 8 or 8.5 size feet. There are so many racks of clothes, but there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to their placement or arrangement. I had a difficult time digging through the racks and couldn't find anything I like, which is weird, because I feel like when I look through the catalog, I like almost everything. In addition, I felt like the 2 sales ladies were so engrossed in their own conversation that they couldn't be bothered to stop and see if I needed anything, until I walked up to the counter and waved them down. read more

This place is hit or miss. You can't go with any expectations (You will undoubtedly find something you love, but they very well may not have it in your size). With that said, I almost never want to shop anywhere else when I am in the area! Last time I went, I got a bagful of Boden clothing (2 cashmere sweaters, an adorable rain jacket, and a skirt) for about $120. Compare that to even the online Boden sale items (let alone full-priced items), and you really can't go wrong. Before I go, I always check out some items online to gauge prices online (and they usually always have 15% off + free shipping promo online). VERY RARELY do I see things online cheaper than the store. I highly recommend this place. The warehouse sales are also awesome. At the outlet sale in Lancaster PA last fall I got a British Tweed Dress for $40.00 (the online price at the time was 120.00!!). I do recommend trying to be there when the sale starts for best selection. I love Boden, so personally I don't even mind a crowd. Though, the crowd really depends on the location of the sale (Lancasater, PA and Springfield, MA were not that bad from my experience). read more

I love Boden, but I will stick to the catalog. The outlet on 486 S. Main St in Pittston was a major disappointment. I have a feeling most of the clothes sold here are catalog returns. Every piece seemed like a one off. The store is very nicely set up. I hope there will be Boden stores in the future. read more

This outlet is not to be confused with the warehouse, which is opened to the public a couple of times per year for Boden's sale... This small store in Pittston is really more like a Boden "second hand" store, meaning that the merchandise seems to be returned or defective items that, in some cases, have been previuosly worn. I saw pants with ripped seams, defective seams, and stains! Most of the items did not have their original tags, either. The prices were a little high, considering these are used goods. Dresses are priced at $40 and bottoms are $30. There is little selection; I saw a couple of tops with 2 different sizes but most of the apparel was a one shot choice. If you happen to be in Pittston, it might be worth a stop but, by all means, do not make a special trip! read more

I am in love with Boden. I had never heard of them before I got a catalog in the mail. I thought about it for a few days but in the end decided to splurge on a new trench coat using the 20% discount code they provided. Since then I have also ordered three skirts. Also, Boden makes me feel skinny because their US sizing is generous. I think their prices are really reasonable given the quality and unique designs. I love it and will definitely keep ordering from Boden! read more

LOVE Boden and am so happy we have the outlet so close to us. Staff is very friendly and helpful. You feel like you are in a very expensive New York Boutique, however, the pricing is insanely discounted. I have to agree with the review of the sizing being off. I am normally a size 6, every time I order from the catalog the 6 fits me perfectly. When I tried on many dresses that were a 6 in the store I felt they were a 4 even a 2. No biggie, so I tried on an 8 and they were way too loose. I ended up buying a dress that was on $300 on their site and got an extra 30% off ($28 I spent) so I did not mind paying to get it taken in. Shoes and purses were great so I buy them there. read more

I was excited to drive a distance to this outlet so I could get some of the fun stuff I see in the catalog. Don't waste your time! They don't stock the store properly so most of the fun items are size 2 or 20. They literally had 2 size 10s in the whole store. It was ridiculous. Why have an outlet if it isn't stocked? read more

Update: I decided to go the "low brow" route and give this sample sale another try. Taking my own advice, I arrived at the crack of dawn and was about 60th in line which meant I'd be included within the first wave through the doors. When the time arrived, similar to a wedding dress sample sale, women rushed the floor in every which direction. At least this time I knew exactly where the table was. I made my way around and stuffed my bag with garments, never stopping to check size or look. Once I made my way around and my bag was stuffed to the brim, I sat down and started assessing my plunder. Similar to my previous experience, women who had made it in through the second and third wave, were hovering an circling around asking for discards. Keeping in mind the ladies that annoyed me the last time( and they were there again) I immediately offered up everything and anything i planned to discard. At the end, I found 2 really nice one-off pieces and then 3 basics. What I have realized and was ultimately reconfirmed by another regular attendee was that they load the table with 10-12 different styles (some recycled from previous sales and it's not their better stuff) and then a sprinkling of other product...the product we hope we find and score in the right size. The problem is that there is just one of each of these coveted items, so if you are lucky to get your hands on it that's great, but then for it to even be the right size? Lady Luck better be smiling your way. One woman I spoke with that morning told me she had been coming to the sales for 2-3 years and that the amount of product, number of styles and sizes available had dramatically shrunken in volume. So in conclusion, not worth going far out of your way for this sale. Lastly, what fueled me to write the follow-up was a strange reply I received to my original review. Although it was marked "compliment" the woman went on to lecture me that "you cannot rely on stores to make it fair for those at sample sales, they put out product for it to sell no matter who is there at whatever time." Clearly I am suspicious of who the author may be, but more importantly, I couldn't more wholeheartedly disagree with her comments. Having attended numerous sample sales in my day, there are certain brands/lines who will put out portions of product over the day(s). Usually the best goes out first, and they hold back a few popular items which they throw in the mix later. Why? To keep people coming back seasons after season and avoid negative reviews (like mine). In fact, there is an entire site devoted to reviewing sample sales in NYC. Perhaps boden doesn't have enough product(especially top line pieces) to distribute slowly and so it all gets tossed out at once, thus creating the race for the wedding gown frenzy I witnessed, and have shamefully participated in twice. So if that's your thing, go for it. Wake up at 6 and leave your babies at home for it?- NO WAY!! read more

This review is for the Boden outlet store on 73 S. Main St. in Pittston, PA - not the warehouse on Armstrong Road or the company in general. This is one of those rare retail gems that few people know about, but should. Actually, strike that - the less people who know about it, the more selection for me. :) This is a factory outlet store in the true sense - what you'll see here are returned items from their catalog sold for deeply discounted prices. The stock varies, so it's pretty much like going to a thrift store and seeing what's there. If you're a fan of Boden, you will be sure to find something you like. My biggest challenge was finding items in my size - I have an average, middle-of-the-road size which seems to be popular. Also, their shoes are in European sizes, so be sure to know your Euro size equivalent ahead of time. The worker didn't seem to know herself, and just gave me a guess. The store is as cute as can be, and looks just how you would think a Boden store would look (if you're familiar with the brand). It looks like a boutique that would fit in easily in London or NYC. It was worth the 1 hour, 20 minute drive for me, and I plan on making seasonal trips to check out the merchandise. I'm actually lucky that the only Boden store in the US just happens to be within driveable distance! read more

Save yourself the effort. Very limited selection of clothing and truly abysmal service. I spent nearly an hour trying on clothes, listening to the "sales" women gossip with friends visiting them while they worked. The whole while I received not one offer for assistance. I finally found something that fit (I'm a 6-8, not exactly an unusual size) and when I went to pay, the woman at the register never said ONE WORD to me, in fact, she never even looked at me, she simply put the clothing in a bag and reached for my payment. Good heavens, people, you run a retail establishment. Don't you know anything about customer service? Needless to say, I left without buying and will not return. read more

I've gotten so many beautiful clothes here. I highly recommend this store. Even though it's an outlet, it's still rather expensive. The ladies who work here are pretty inattentive, standing around chatting with their friends and ignoring customers. read more

The selection and prices at the Boden outlet are excellent! The staff are helpful and fun without being intrusive. The only reason to not recommend this outlet is my own selfishness- more for me to choose from!! read more
