The staff was very attentive and friendly. The maitre d' spoke English and helped me distinguish between duck ( pato) and turkey ( pavo) As a businesswoman going out to dinner alone in Spain, it can be dicey to find a restaurant. The staff seated me in a private corner, sensitive to the local culture. I had missed both breakfast and lunch on the day of my visit due to work issues, so I was very hungry. The staff allowed me to order the fixed price menu of the day which is normally served at the early (lunch to Yankees) meal, for which I was very happy. The typical Spanish garbanzo soup included meat which I think was quail, muy sabroso. The fixed price meal included a bottle of water, bread, and a bottle of wine. A condiment of pickled peppers came with the soup. The duck was served in the locally popular "a la piedra" style, meaning a hot plate brought to table so I could cook to desired doneness. Love this place and hope to visit again.
Had to edit this review...the surprise at the end of the meal was that although they gave me the fixed price meal, they itemized my bill at the ala carte price.. It was more than twice what I expected... Dropping a star or two from my rating. read more
