What a fun spot and the food was not too shabby either. First night in Charleston June of this year. My son had been told about this joint and it did not disappoint. First impressions great security I.D's checked on way in, were met by a sweet lovely hostess and seated. We had the fortune to be served by a top waitress and a trainee. The girls were awesome and fun we had a wonderful time with them. Given I worked in Brooklyn for 30 years, we had to have the Pizzas created by Mr. Falco with a small wing order. Both were excellent. Pizza seemed like it was straight from Cobble Hill "Thin crust" MacDougal and The Orchard Pizza's you will not be disappointed they were sweet. We then went upstairs to the rooftop bar with a live DJ. He had an awesome mix going. Drinks were easy to get well priced, a great Cocktail ( Moscow Mule) son had a craft beer. Best time we had since Covid hit. Great to be with your son and see him laughing and enjoying the vibe. Stay away from the chicken fingers! Literally, the worst I've tasted in years. Took 26 minutes, it was mostly burnt breading and almost no chicken. To top it off a few pieces were cold on the inside. First night in Charleston and was treated absolute terrible. Got kicked out by the owners son (a bartender) after he had a disgusting attitude and made my drink completely wrong. After sitting at the bar on a Tuesday at 4:45, they told us only the rooftop is open. So we went up the stairs and downloaded the beer menu. We went to the young woman bartender and asked for our beers. We were informed we can't get any drafts beers on the rooftop. Bottles? No, only cans. So we found two cans we'd like. Can we have two glasses? No, we only have plastic. Fine. Two plastic cups for our canned beers. Do you take Apple Pay? No. Man, what a disappointing visit without any apology from the other side of the bar. We thought we couldn't find a bad experience in Charleston-so many great places. Had a great meal and night at THE Uptown Social. It could not have gone better thanks to Nora, our Waitress. She was electric the entire night; shuckin' and jivin', always checking to see if we needed to see anything. There are some relatives in my family I would replace just to have Nora serve me more of the Pizza Dough Bites one last time. I cannot say enough good about this place, and not enough good about Nora. I am recommending her for Sainthood and the Congressional Medal of Honor. Great happy hour! We enjoyed the hummus and pork sliders. Pork sliders were so flavorful and the meat just melted in your mouth. We also had the garlic knot cheesy pizza rolls which were aaaaaamazing. Huge bar area. I liked the vibe here. Great service. Uptown is always a party and offers so much under one roof. King St has exploded with bars and I figured this was just one more spot for the college kids to get plastered at, I was totally wrong. The downstairs is absolutely huge. There's a long bar and plenty of other tables/booths for dining, drinking, and watching games on the massive TV selection. It can sometimes get pretty packed on peak season weekend nights but generally the downstairs is a little more tame if that's what you're looking for. Head upstairs to party where you'll find an inside bar and lounge and then a roof deck with more tables, a big bar and the wings mural adorning the instagram of every guest looking for a good photo op. If you're getting food, the pizzas are kinda small but great for sharing. I love the one with pepperoni and jalapeno called the Bleeker and the Falco Classic is always a winner. Honestly, they are all so good. for appetizers I've had the Pizza Dough bites and the JK Hummus... both are excellent. read more

DO NOT go here unless you & your friends all want to get your phones stolen. I came here with a group of 10 girls on Thursday night, and of the 10 of us - 3 people's phones were stolen OUT OF THEIR BAGS. We then met another girl in line for the restroom whose phone was also stolen. We immediately talked to bar security, who essentially told us this was the "17th time" he had heard about stolen phones that night, but there was nothing he could do. We've reached out to Uptown Social 4 times since then to request camera footage (or at the very least a refund for our cover charge), but we have gotten no response. Thank goodness we were with a large group and were able to rely on each other to safely get home, but I can only imagine if we had been a group of 3 girls stranded on King St with no phones, since clearly no one working at this bar would have been willing to assist us. read more

Loved the space! The inside definitely gives off a bar vibe but is huge. Would be a great place to watch a game as there are TVs everywhere. Fun fact their bathrooms were really nice too :) Their outside space is right next to the restaurant with strung bistro lights and has wooden picnic tables all with umbrellas. The drink menu was fun, food menu minimal. We shared a pizza that was tasty but not huge. We had lunch here this past weekend while visiting Charleston. We ate on the rooftop and had pizza, which was delicious! The pepperoni had a nice zip to them and the crust was good as well. Probably the best sports bar on King Street. Lots of Tvs and plenty of space. Lots of drink options, but not a huge food menu. They do offer items like salads, burgers, and pizza. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and it was actually really good. Highly recommend the hummus plate. The bread is delish!! read more

Great rooftop bar with a live DJ and the drinks were fairly priced. The food was good and the portions were quite big so you definitely get your money's worth! The only thing I didn't like was the fact that it was packed and no one was practicing social distancing or wearing masks. 2 girls bartenders were working.. my friends and i heard good things about uptown social. we went and it was raining we walked 4 mins to get there. we went a dried off in bathroom. next drinks. the girl put our orders individually. we 3 of us open tabs one pays cash. we get 2nd drink and the one that paid cash later on went to get 2nd drink and paid cash the bartender then said "I've served your party twice and your not gonna tip?". 3 of us have been in service industry. we all wanted to tip big cash at end of night. but she decided to argue with her because she "works for $20 an hour" and doesn't get tipped of our 2nd drink while a tap is open. meanwhile we have work for less than $7 an hour. personally should be fired. went to Ink and told bouncers what happened and said that sounds like them. Eventually everyone that we saw at uptown ended up at ink! A group of older women realized that someone was trying to roofie them and left! I am a bartender in my home town and would never speak to a customer that way no matter where i am from or color!! DO NOT RECOMMEND!! read more

Tried to order food and the server tells me the kitchen closes in five minutes but when I called they said 10. Overcrowded, overpriced, and shitty service. It surprises me how they were so busy.
