A small restaurant located at the far end of Calle Del Serpis next to the park, I enjoyed lunch on the patio and was pleasantly surprised. Walking around Valencia, you never know which restaurant will give you the best deal with great food to match. Bar Bocho missed the mark & some dishes I wouldn't repeat.
I had their menu of the day which consisted of a first, second & third course plus a drink. I had their lenteyas which is a lentil soup made with potatoes & onions cooked with a piece of ham to give added flavor. This was perfect & if I could have this alone, I would. My next course was their merluza fish, a white delicate fish usually full of flavor. It was a huge chunk of grilled fish & came with a side of fries. Unfortunately, the fish tasted frozen & I ate less than 1/3 of it. Finally, my dessert was a small flan that also tasted like it was store bought. In the end, I was mad that I paid 8€ for soup, bread & a Coca-Cola.
The service was pretty solid and they understood some English. You can skip these guys and not lose one morsel of sleep. read more
