This is my "go-to" place for shipping items. After visiting two other shipping places only to discover that they were completely out of boxes as well as other shipping supplies (how does that even happen?!?) , I tried shopping for my own boxes. Most retailers only sell bulk/multiples of specific box sizes. When I searched online and discovered Boca Box has a full inventory of various boxes in all shapes and sizes AND that they ship items, I drove there right away. This place disgusts me so much. I feel so guilty for ever asking my parents to mail me a package. I thought they had been mailing me packages from the post office and UPS. I was really confused when they kept explaining that small packages cost $20, $30, and $40+ to mail. Then I discovered they were mailing me packages from Boca Box -- Boca Box takes advantage of older people and marks up the postage like crazy. My parents did not realize this and thought they charged just slightly more than the post office and UPS. However, they mark up postage more than 2.5X!!! For example, I boxed up a bunch of books when I was at their house, taped the box shut, and marked it media mail. It was all ready to go. Only needed postage. I asked if they could take it to the post office at some point.It was a box of older books, and not urgent, which is why I said to use "media mail/book rate". I had just mailed myself another box of books at the post office that cost around $10, and I warned them it should cost this much. My dad still didn't realize how much Boca Box marks up postage, and he took the box of books there. Boca Box put $12.77 worth of postage on there (how much the post office would charge), and charged my dad $31 to mail it!!! See photo. I have been using Boca Box for over 3 years now. If it needs shipped, I take it here. We moved to Florida but our family is in the Chicago area, so holidays and birthdays mean sending presents! Don't​ understand these ​other reviews. everything I​ sent arrived safely and was packed well. yes, it's more expensive but there are no lines and it's a service not a post office, where by the way, i've stood in line for up to 20 or 30 minutes vs. 5 minutes. read more
