Stopped in tonight for a drink and the bartender Anna was really great- made me a delicious drink, an old fashioned and made food recommendations. Came to Bobby Q's for dinner on a weeknight when it wasn't too crowded. The service was fantastic and I loved the overall asthetic of the interior. I had a brisket and chicken plate with asparagus and mac n cheese as the sides. This is my first bbq experience in Arizona and I'd say it was quite good! I've definitely had better in cities that are known for their bbq but I wasn't disappointed at all. We got a free appetizer of cornbread that I thoroughly enjoyed. My family went here for Mother's day and wow!! This place is very good. I made a reservation a few days prior and for being Mother's day they were busy but we were seated right away. The portions are big, my boyfriend and I split a 3 meat plate and still had left overs. The brisket is soo good, as well as the sausage. The Mac & cheese is creamy and full of flavor. A group of us came here for the debut of their brunch last Saturday. We got two bottles of champagne (it's buy one, get one half off). We got the chicken avocado toast and various eggs Benedict's and they were delicious. The manager came around to our table to check in and we had awesome service from our waitress. If you have younger children, don't come here. This is not a family friendly establishment. Both my children are well behaved but I do have a 2 year old. I'm also very aware of other people and bothering them, so I do step out if needed and don't let my toddler act crazy. I ended up leaving my 11 year old and his father there to eat dinner because i felt so uncomfortable with eyes on my toddler and I (Without reason besides the fact that she's a toddler). Probably the worst barbecue I have had in a very long time. It's bad barbecue dressed up as a high end, high priced alternative in a Tony neighborhood. How you should get $19.50 for a odd tasting pulled pork sandwich on a soft bun which quickly soaks up the barbecue sauce is beyond me. The sausage was super salty and the $19.50 baked potato was worth $10. There are so many great alternatives for 2/3 the price in Phx. Don't be fooled by the cute name and fancy digs. read more

Amazing food, amazing atmosphere, but service wasn't the best. I read the other reviews on here and one guy said the food tasted like vomit. I don't think so. This was my first time at this restaurant, and it is also my last. I love barbecue, but I hate fat. I thought by ordering the ribs, I would stand the best chance to have lean meat. That just wasn't so. these are not the kind of ribs that you pick up, but rather when you can find the meat you need to eat it with a fork. There was so much fat, and so much bone, that finding the meat was a chore. Maybe the food at their original location is better, but, except for the delicious cornbread, I would not recommend this location. read more

Not nearly as good as the reviews. The server was very nice. My wife and I ordered Bob's salad which came out quickly. Our main course of beef ribs and brisket sandwich took forever. Other customers came and went before we were served. The ribs were tough and somewhat dry. The brisket was also dry. Our server did take 20% off due to the slow service. read more

Had lunch at this bobby q today. Had rack of ribs. very C- quality. Too heavy on the salt no smoke flavor the coleslaw was frozen in its middle. the donut rounds were raw on the inside. Last night was my first time going here. In a fabulous location, so i knew the food would be pretty decent. We had a reservation and were immediately seated. I'm gluten free so I couldn't enjoy the complimentary corn bread or sugar donuts but the rest of the group really enjoyed them. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich (without a bun) and the thin fries. Both were delicious. I was excited they brought additional containers of BBQ sauce to the table, especially when one was spicy - but it was not spicy at all!! Even my husband who can't handle the heat agreed it was not spicy. It still tasted great though. It is a little higher end, but the quality makes it worth the price.
