Description Of Work:
This contractor was referred to us by a friend when the roof that was installed by the original contractor theat built our house 4 1/2years ago, Hanover Homes, was leaking and would not repair it properly. Our friend contacted Bobby Long at noon on the Friday before Hurricane Sandy was due to arrive. Bobby called us as soon as he was contacted and said he would be here as soon as he finished the job he was doing. Bobby came about an hour and a half later. He was on the roof 5 minutes later and had a solution to the leaks that Hanover Homes wouldn't fix. He made a quick trip to Home Depot, picked up supplies and had the roof repair done a little over an hour later for $140. It rained all weekend and the attic was completely dry. Hanover homes called on Monday, the day the now tropical storm was due to start here, and said that they would send the same guy who put the roof on originally and repaired it once , to fix the roof, if we signed a waiver releasing them from further liability. The will not fix the ceiling in the living room that was damaged by the leaks. I told them that I had the roof already fixed temporarily by a professional. I contracted with Bobby to have the defective ridge vent installed by Hanover Homes, replaced. Bobby had this job completed 2 days after the storm passed and came on time and did a first rate job. This cost us $1,000 and was worth every cent.
See out post to Angie's List concerning the roof leak complaint.

Bobby was called by our friend and he came as fast as possible to help us and relieve our worries about making it through the storm without incurring more damage to our ceiling. After the temporary repair was made, Bobby called twice during the weekend to ensure that the repair was holding. He told us that he would come at any time, if needed. The repair worked well. The ridge vent replacement has relieved our fears about this leak problem. The roof has 75 nail holes in the shingle tabs that has a small dab of sealant on the nail heads that will probably fail and create more leaks. When that happens we wil call Bobby Long and have him repair or replace the roof. That way I'll know it's done correctly. We highly recommend Bobby. read more
