The worst bubble tea I have ever tasted and the tapioca is a little stale. Also when I approached the door I thought the place had closed down bc it was literally black until I tried opening the door and realized that the interior was just dark, uninviting with minimal decor (literally one lit up sign). I got the Wintermelon milk tea here with no toppings and it was great. I always get Wintermelon as one of my safe choices to drink and have no regrets. BobaLust is still on its soft opening. I have been to the one in Tukwila several times and I was ecstatic when I found out that they have finally opened one in Federal Way. It's right next to Trader Joe's so you could miss it easily when you're not paying attention. I love BobaLust because they have my absolute favorite flavor - wintermelon milk tea. They have lots of toppings to choose from but pudding has always been my go-to. My husband got the Legend of Momo - a mango and peach drink. He said it was refreshing - suitable for the oppressive heat we have been "blessed" with the past couple of days. They have plenty of other flavors (I posted pics) so I will definitely be back soon to try the others. The people who work there are awesome too, by the way. They take the time to explain the different drinks and ingredients. One guy who ordered after me has been back several times already and I think they just opened very recently. read more

This place opened not too long ago and is super convenient as it is in the heart of Federal Way, right next to Trader Joes! I went during the afternoon where there was no wait and my order came out very fast. I ordered the lychee lemonade which was super good and had cute little heart and star jellies in it. The drink taste more like a lychee drink than any lemonade flavor, but I would still get it again for the strong lychee flavor. The staff here was very kind and helpful in letting my know what was popular on the menu and what their suggestions were. I usually go to the Kent or Tukwila location, but I came by because I was in the area. The drinks are just as good as the two but the ambiance is so dark and moody. It's kind of just empty. Perfect location! I love that I could pop in and out of the store so I can grocery shop next door at traders joe. I always get their electric sky, but the workers recommend trying other ones out so I'm slowly opening up to the idea haha. The best boba in western Washington is at bobalust. Their menu is usually the same with some rotating flavors each month. However, you can ask them to make anything and they do as long as they have the flavors. I have heard some people complain that they didn't have dairy free options, but I ordered a drink once with almond milk, so they for sure have that! I love that there is a bobalust by my house now!!! The quality of the drinks I have had (I have been to this location 2x so far match what I have gotten at the other locations. As of right now they don't have any seating, which does make the decor a little plain; I do love the little plant in the corner and the neon sign. I could see the decor improving with some seating and other small improvements, but I am sure those won't be implemented until the pandemic is a little more under control.
