The woman I spoke to was condescending and just outright rude. Not everyone knows everything about flowers! She asked me if I am "on the web" and to bring in pictures of exactly what I want. Pardon me for wanting something unique and creative. I thought I'd bring in pictures once I knew what was in season or not, I didn't want to make their lives difficult. I guess if you come here you should expect outright copies of photos online, don't come in thinking that you'll get to work with someone to get something perfectly unique to you.

Then finally two older ladies came out of the back area- I announced my presence with a "hello" since I was browsing their aisles of flowers and tropical plants and did not want to startle them. I proceeded to ask her about bushes and one of the women acted like she didn't understand a word that I said while the other one just completely walked away. (I am a GenX Japanese American north side Chicagoan and my partner is a biracial black and white north side Chicagoan as well) she was extremely snotty and rude to me like she didn't understand what I was asking her so I took her outside to speak with my partner because I was already visibly upset-so then I asked her "are you Mary? " she's like "No Mary is inside." So Mary was the other rude lady peeking out the door. I'm like thanks but no thanks. Let's go. I asked my partner in the car if it was just me and he said "no these women are rude." So as a small business minority woman myself-who runs her own small business in the city of Chicago - I WILL NEVER GO BACK there it's was not a pleasant experience shop there at your own risk.
