Visited for lunch/dinner. Was seated instantly . Greeted with professionalism. The table and surroundings were clean and friendly. The waitress that took our order was very friendly and helpful. She made suggestions that helped us. We received our food in a timely manner and it was hot and looked very appetizing. The manager lady was on the floor and asked several tables how was their day going and was their food to their satisfaction. I thought it was nice for her to actually come out and see that her customers were happy and pleased. She made it seem like she cared that her employees (waitresses) were doing their jobs. But in a nice way. We spoke to her and she was very friendly answered our questions about Bob Evans and their history of being in so many states. (I watch for them on the interstate exits when I travel.) Her name was Ashley Keller and amazed us with the knowledge she had about the company and their farm. And the original owner and his Daughter. I was amazed. I enjoy every visit whether breakfast lunch or dinner when I'm there. Nationwide chain with nationwide chain menu and fixin's. I ordered the Everything Breakfast ($13.09). Ham, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, hash browns, green peppers, onions, and cheddar cheese. I was disappointed because the portion was small and I saw no evidence of bacon bits, green peppers, or onions. The meat was in bits that didn't add up to even 1 sausage link. The hollandaise sauce was prepackaged and didn't taste like any Hollandaise sauce I'd ever had. I also ordered the Blue Ribbon Bacon ($5.59). 5 strips of Maple Bacon drizzled with black pepper maple honey. The bacon was great and brought the meal from 2 stars to 3 stars. Disgusting. Crumbs all over the window sills. Floors need swept. Whatever (blood, mud, ketchup, coffee) is splashed all over the blinds could probably be power-washed off. Our sandwiches were haphazardly thrown together in a rush and were barely warm when they arrived. Our chicken sandwich was like rubber as though it had been microwaved many times before. Ok, I know, four stars seems really high for a breakfast diner-like place, but hear me out. My kids absolutely love this place. They are possibly the best Bob Evans I have been to, and we try many because as I mentioned my kids love it. They are very consistent with their food, they are generally busy on weekends even closer to lunch. They have always had friendly servers when I have gone and they place is always clean. I love their breakfast variety but they non-breakfast items are pretty good too. Let me tell ya, I will take consistent and filling over trendy for brunch every time. read more

I went in and put my name on the list which I was third in line. I went outside as it was filling up and no one called me for my table. 30 minutes later I walked in and they skipped me. The manager was no where to be found and the staff didn't even care that they skipped me and told me that would put me back in line. This was a horrible experience and I won't be back. Edit: I reached out to the manager and she was both combative with me and told me I was wrong simply because I went outside when the lobby filling up. (Some people don't want to feel like a sardine) She explained that they are too busy to walk the 5-10 feet to the door and call out the name. This is an embarrassment for the bob Evans name. Cancelled my Thanksgiving order with no notice. Leaving my family scrambling. I placed an order this morning for their Holiday Family meal to be delivered at 3:45pm because I was unable to have it delivered at 4:30 because it said it was too high volume. No problem. Put the order in for 3:45. I don't hear a word until about 3:30 when I get a text that the order is on the way. 10 mins later I get another text stating that my order has been cancelled because the store is now closed. They couldn't contact me and let me know they were closing early? They just cancel the order with no notice leaving me high and dry at 4:00pm on Thanksgiving? Disgusting behavior. We haven't been to BE in a long time.and we wanted something close to the movie theater with options for breakfast and lunch. I have to say I am disappointed on this visit. The wait was not bad and our server was good but my everything breakfast was a let down. I had high hopes based on the picture in the menu but it was nothing like it. It seemed like this was just thrown together without any care what it looked like. Maybe that was what they were going for but I thought it was sloppy. It tasted ok though. Deb had the chicken fried steak which I thought was really good. The sausage gravy was tasty but peppery. I have seen a few BE's closing down so maybe they are restructuring or something. read more

6/17/2023 I was invited to a party of 17 and they said they could seat us after we called at 3. When it was our turn to be sat one minute it was 15 minutes until it turned into an hour and a half. Very disappointing. New fish item was obviously frozen and batter was not beer batter or anything appetizing. Broccoli side tasted like it was a frozen item - definitely not fresh and chewed too rubbery. The biscuits were also obviously not handmade. Institutional and too salty on top. Very ti y of amount of butter served for two biscuits. Waitress did not come back to see how meals were and even to refill our water glasses. I would rate her service as below par. Went there today and was so disappointed, as in prior visits two or more years ago, it was enjoyable. So many things wrong it's hard to list. Brought coffee but zero silverware. Ordered breads with the meal (3) but it never came. Ordered turkey/dressing and the dressing was inedible - like they dumped the whole can of herbs in the pot. My friend couldn't eat the chicken fried steak as it tasted "off." The coleslaw was sour. The French fries were soggy. The turkey was cold and had no flavor. A refill on a Sprite resulted in a glass of water instead. The waiter would rap on the table with his knuckles when he responded to a request. The coffee was good. Since the BE crew here cooked a big take-out holiday dinner right, I would dine here again with confidence. We needed a break from cooking a full holiday dinner in 2017, so we chose the big BE Farmhouse Thanksgiving Feast this year. Everything was great, especially to have it all pre-cooked for a very reasonable price. The turkey was really tasty and juicy. The only "minor" complaints were that the stuffing was a bit heavy on the sage and the green beans were a bit on the salty side. So if they can get a big holiday catering take-out right? I know we're at a day and age when some people just do the minimum at work and the hostess on a busy Sunday morning did just that. I just moved back to FL from GA, no Bob Evans, and was craving blueberry pancakes! Of course the Sunday was in effect and I went to the hostess and was quoted 20+ minutes for a table for one. Time lapses and another couple come in and ask for a table of two but the hostess suggested that they see if the bar was open since it's open seating... well why in the heck didn't I get the same suggestion? Ordered take out, It was a chicken pot pie. Crust was over cooked. Not much ingredients that was inside this pie. Biscuits with no butter, even after requesting some. Ordered a apple pie, they had none, it was frozen. Requested Pumpkin pie, which was dark brown and not good. I waited along time for curbside pick up. It was sent back and 20 minutes later after we finished eating the rest of our food was still not brought to our table. We were told they only had one cook and had to wait. Sara... 32 years! Nuff said! You expect the food to be what it is, an amazing breakfast. It's Bob Evan's for crying out loud. We see their sausage in the supermarket, you see their restaurants all over the place. So you know, you're always in for a good breakfast. Today, is no different. Coffee, spot on, and I don't know what the bottom of my cup looks like. Pancakes, eggs and grits, just what you'd expect from a Bob Evans, awesome! The highlight was seeing my pal Eddie's face when they told him that he can have griddle blueberry toast! I've never seen such a happy happy boy! Now, if it was good food and what was expected, why 5 Stars. One word, SERVICE! Granted, she's a 32 year veteran and some may say, she's seasoned she should know what she's doing. True!!! But Sara, absolutely went above and beyond. What was expected was there, menu suggestions, fast friendly service and attentive to the table, like refilling coffee. But Sara went above and beyond that with great conversation and an over the top personality. Of course we'll go back to Bob Evans. It's a great value, and a great breakfast.
