We had a 12-inch pizza and a pretty decent-sized fruit salad, both delicious. The hostess was a lovely European lady, very pleasant (a refreshing change in the somewhat snooty Saugatuck). The service was prompt and the pizza piping-hot, very cheesy, with generous toppings. $28 for the pizza, three drinks and the fruit salad--fair, considering that we didn't have to wait to be seated and that pizza probably takes its rightful place among the very best I've tried. read more

I've had the Pork BBQ, the Jerusalem (Gyro), and the Grilled Cheese (panini) & they've all been great! The man behing the counter was very strange.. a real weirdo. We clearly ordered two single scoop cones and he charged us for doubles. When told him we had only wanted single scoops, he got combatative and said to us that even though he heard us, it wasn't what we "wanted." He then told us only children eat single scoops. Oddest experience I've ever had. The ice cream was old. Ended up tossing it in the trash after a few bites. I wouldn't recommend, and I will never go back. Last night we took our 3 girls for ice cream. My husband got some as well. The cashier handed him his cone and an iPad to sign. His ice cream plopped on the floor. Had the California wrap and it was pretty darn tasty. The pesto gave it a unique flavor. It's full of veggies and I felt healthy eating it, despite getting it with the mayo I normally pass on. Excellent variety in a town full of bland menus. Five stars to both the California wrap and Gardener sandwich. We went back in the evening for ice cream. Five stars to the Turtle Cheesecake ice cream. We were a bit disappointed they did not have waffle cone dishes but that did not deter the creativity of our server to create a substitute for a us. read more

I really appreciated that they rushed the hot dog for my son, but they lose a star because they were a little slow in making the sandwich's for us. We ended up here on a Saturday night with our kids, hungry and unwilling to wait an hour plus for other and more expensive places in the vicinity. When we were done, we all agreed that it was definitely for the better that we happened in to the deli. My wife and I both had Baja burritos and our kids had a grilled cheese and a cheese pizza between them. The burrito was so good we almost considered getting them the following night in town as well (and after Scooter's, we wished we had). The grilled cheese and pizza were unexceptional but eaten. We actually came to this deli by accident. We were so hungry and this is the closest eating place to where we park (too hungry to even cross the road), but boy oh boy, are we glad we found this place! My husband and I ordered roasted beast and roast beef Omaha. They both are so delicious. I even said to my husband, I think this is the best sandwich I've ever had! The place was so small but service was great and fast and they all are friendly. Even my almost 1 yr old loved the sandwich.
