We always have gone with a private booked group and the past couple of times we were back in the smaller private room. This occasion we had about 26 ppl so we had booked the larger rooms. We arrived 20mins before our 6pm scheduled start only to find that they gad double booked for the evening. They wanted to put the 26 of us back in the smaller room when the other group of about 18 wasn't scheduled until 7ish. They obviously weren't expecting us and had to scramble to set up our colors ect. Our booking had been on the books and prepaid several months ahead. I will say that the 2 employees working did work to get us set up but this caused a delay in our start time...which comes in later. As we lined up for payment/drinks etc we were then informed that they no longer had wine. They had single bottle coolers and bud light. That was disappointing since when we'd been here in the past you could purchase by the glass or bottle and we usually by several bottles. As the 2nd group arrived the 2nd employee took them to the back leaving us with only our instructor, which meant any time someone needed a drink ahe had to go handle that which lead to several stops in the instructional process, which was already spotty in my opinion. I personally didn't feel the instructor we had was very personable. In the past we've enjoyed great interaction and encouragement. I could hardly hear anything she was saying (other paint and sips I've gone to wear a headset mic). The only time she seemed interested in having us hear her is when she was trying to sell us some pre-painted items in the shop. Most places will mention that items can ve bought but I really felt like it was being pushed hard as there was more than 1 time she brought something to the front of the room and discussed it's availability for purchase. As we wrapped up and as the 2nd group was finishing thier 1hr class, we were instructed to 'brushes down' so she could get our group photo. I felt like we were being pushed out the door. And while I get that they want to close and go home, it was thier error that delayed our start time by about half an hour. I am hoping that this experience isn't the norm for this location, the past 2 visits were very enjoyable. However if this place isn't going to be serving wine we certainly will be looking for a new location for our regular GNO.

Pro tip: The speed is free on Sundays. My daughter was inspired by some community artwork with mixed media on canvas. We showed a picture of the inspiration to Ms Audrey. She had the perfect materials and know-how to help us create our own masterpiece, inspired by the art we saw at the museum. My daughter did not want to do anything else in the city besides make art with Ms Audrey- we even skipped the children's museum. We learned different techniques for using the materials and I'll definitely be incorporating them as we continue to create at home. Ms Audrey helps you not only bring beauty into the world, but she makes learning a new craft accessible step by step. Her process helps you create while expanding your crafting skills along the way. The store was full of natural light that highlighted the rooms, and the steps to the upper classrooms were painted in colorful hues. The staff were super friendly as we strolled through the center prior to our class. The selection of art supplies was quite impressive and seemed to include most anything a person could need for art projects (colored pencils, paints, brushes, pens, markers, canvas, children's art kits, and so much more). The prices appeared to be fair and in line with box stores and chain craft supply stores. They offer an array of workshops and classes for all ages that include both one-day and weekly offerings.The class that we participated in was phenomenal. She was always in communication even up to the moment we yelled surprise. The venue is amazing!! Being able to paint while looking at the Louisville skyline was a one of a kind experience. The food and beverage tasting with a live band/orchestra this evening playing 40's music was a blast. Tomorrow is Bunco, Tuesday line dancing, and Friday a murder mystery dinner. Not sure about Wed and Thursdays events. They also have breakfast with Santa on Saturday morning. The fund raising consistent of buying raffle tickets to place in a basket for drawings at the end of the week. They probably have 40+ decorated trees that you can place your tickets in the bucket. Trees are fully decorated with lots of goodies included with the tree. They also have a bake sale, a Santa shop with various Christmas items to sell, wreaths for sale and gift baskets to again put your ticket in the bucket with the hopes of winning the drawing for all these items. Staff and volunteers were very friendly and the food and drink vendors had some awesome food for us to sample. A great organization that does a lot of good for our community. If you get a chance go out and support them this week or at one of their other fund raising events.

It was the perfect choice, and the kitchen perfected the skirt steak. The dessert was delicious. It was a thin slice of turtle cheesecake on a bed of chocolate fudge sauce. The dessert was the perfect end to the meal, leaving me feeling full. The cheesecake was subtle, and worth every bite.
