What an amazing experience going to the BNP Paribas open. The facility in Indian Wells is nothing short of spectacular. Great seating at all of the different courts. Good selection of places to eat and also by souvenirs. It was really special for me to see some of my favorite tennis players Sabby Sabalenka and Carlos Alcarez write up close and personal. What a great experience to see the expertise and the level of play these tennis players participate at. Indian Wells is a wonderful facility and the tournament is a real experience. If you're in the desert during the tournament make sure you get over to the Indian Wells Tennis Club for the BNP Paribas open.

If you're a tennis lover, BNP Paribas Open is an enjoyable way to spend the days. I have been to BNP Paribas before the pandemic and really enjoyed my time, so was excited to go again this year. You can just get ground passes and watch the matches on the smaller courts or get stadium seating, which assigns you a seat, in the bigger stadium. I normally go for 2 days and get 1 day of stadium and 1 day of just wandering around the grounds. On a personal level, I do enjoy the smaller courts because you can get pretty close to all of the action and it feels more intimate. I also like to go around and watch the players practice. It feels like a tennis festival in the desert. I enjoy the overall environment of the tournament. Couple of logistics if you are thinking of going next year. Air bnb & hotels fills up pretty quickly, so definitely make sure to book them if you decide to go (I normally stay closer to Palm Springs because it's so pricey to stay near Indian Wells, but it takes about 30 minutes to get there). It gets hot there, so make sure to bring sunscreen (this year they were giving out samples which was nice). Also, they only allow clear bags (or small bags). I believe that they don't allow open water bottles, but you can bring sealed water bottles and empty ones (there is refill water stations inside). For food, I did bring snacks in, but it looks like some were not allowed. I would check the website before you go. I definitely want to come back again. It's a very nice way to spend the day(s).

"This could be para-para-paradise Para-para-paradise." We attended a match at this year's BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, which is fondly called Tennis Paradise. It is also called The Fifth Grand Slam, mainly because it attracts top players to its well-maintained facilities. For 9 consecutive years this event at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden has been picked as the players' favorite by both the ATP and WTA. The reasons cited are the weather, the facilities, the atmosphere and the fans. We saw an early match of Carlos Alcaraz vs Matteo Arnaldi. The first set was a tiebreak which was very exciting with the enthusiastic crowd heartily calling out encouragement. Alcaraz easily prevailed and we had great seats in Center Court. It was a lovely and cool evening with low humidity and I can see why this is a favorite venue. The facilities were up-to-date with a popup Tennis Warehouse and other stores. There is a dining pavilion, although there could be more seating (a problem at any venue). If you plan in advance, there is a Nobu restaurant here (we did not). This tournament is in early spring so the weather is better than in summer (this is a desert). We purchased parking in advance -- there are at least 10 lots) and the signage from the parking to the courts could be better marked. We did lose track of our car since it was dark when the match concluded and this is a short drive from Palm Springs.

Beautiful facility! It's really impressive with the multiple stadiums and restaurants. Valet parking went above and beyond to assist. The suites are well appointed with great bathrooms! The food was delicious and nothing could beat the view!

If you're a tennis fan, this BNP PARIBAS OPEN is considered the 5th Grand Slam because most top 10 players are here unless they have an injury or other complication. The venue is spacious with great main stadiums and smaller courts that you can see players practicing or playing close up (early rounds). Parking is easy and convenient. Also, if you like tennis and soaking in the sun and heat, this desert paradise will not be disappoint. Lots of stars and celebrities attending this yearly event.

So unfair. This refund policy. Glitch with online purchase event date. Lost $970.00 because of this! So !

"I'm in town and would like to play Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9. I'm a 4.0 and would like to play men's doubles." You can probably get a pretty good game organized. After a few days you might be able to build up a network of local players at your level. There is also a group of advanced players 4.5 and up, which can be harder to find. Initially, I questioned why I'd pay for a membership when the public courts at Ruth Hardy Park are within walking distance. It's not always easy to find someone to hit with or secure an open court depending on the day. I was also considering investing in a ball machine but didn't really have the space to store it. I'll admit, I was skeptical at first, having a bias against country clubs due to my experience with the stuffy, judgmental vibes I often encountered at the one my grandparents belonged to. But CC Tennis Club is completely different. Walking into the pro shop and being greeted by Gracie, their sweet black lab, and the friendly faces of Terri and David, was a breath of fresh air--warm, welcoming, and genuine. While $700 a year might seem steep, it's actually a bargain compared to other clubs in the area, which often charge three times as much or more! The ball machine rental is $25/hour. I realized that if I used it for just 2.3 hours a month, I'd break even. Now, I don't have to store one or worry about replacing balls. The Playmate iGenie they offer is top-notch (it's a $7k machine!), and I can even connect my iPhone to customize drills, which has significantly improved my game and consistency. I probably use the ball machine 7-12 hours a month now so I'm getting insane value on this alone. Terri's excellent matchmaking service means I always have someone to play with, which has solved my problem of finding hitting partners. The members here are friendly and truly love the game, without any of the snobbiness you might find elsewhere. When I need my racquet restrung, David's 30+ years of experience really shines. He's strung for some of the most famous players and can even crank it out while I wait if needed. His string recommendation for my first racquet was spot on. (I learned my lesson after trying a full poly setup suggested online, which was a big mistake) I've also been attending the 1.5-hour Wednesday clinics with Bill Parsha, and my game has improved tremendously. At just $25, it's a steal, and the smaller class sizes mean plenty of hitting time and more personalized instruction. I've even taken a few private lessons at $70/hour--again, super affordable. Bill's coaching style is relaxed and fun, perfect for anyone who doesn't want the rigid 'drill sergeant' approach. He also helped me set up a beginner's clinic for my friends, and they can't stop raving about him. The facilities are simple but functional. There's no fancy clubhouse, but the shaded seating areas are perfect for cooling down and socializing after matches. Personally, I prefer this over higher annual dues for amenities I don't need. Where else could I go and be greeted by a beautiful black lab nearly every time I play? It's a unique touch that sets CC apart from other clubs. The vibe is laid-back, supportive, and inclusive. I even used the ball machine on the 4th of July in a banana suit as a celebration of personal freedom, and instead of judgment, the members laughed and embraced the fun. (Freedom = free to be dumb) If you're looking for pure tennis without the frills, CC Tennis Club is the place to be. Oh, and all 10 courts were resurfaced in September 2024, so they're the freshest in the valley--proof of David and Terri's commitment to running the best club in the desert.

I semi-anticipated this because it's Spring, lots of tourists and concert goers in town but we were still a bit disappointed that so early it was hard to find a court. The courts themselves are very nice though I will give them that. 5 stars for being nicely painted and maintained. They also had a lot of courts and clear signage as to experience level and offerings on which court should certain level of players play on. Another nice note is they had plenty of shaded seating for watchers and waiters so that's appreciated in the hot sun. The reasons I docked a star were primarily for parking availability and also there could be nicer little perks added. With parking we thought it was odd that they have so many reserved parking permit spots? On a Friday morning only 1 of those permit special spots were being used and the other 15 or so were just open, yet we couldn't park there. Parking was scarce given all of the players which resulted in many parking on the street which didn't make as much sense to me. Also we didn't notice paddle holders for pickleball which all of our local courts have. There's no easy way to navigate who is next to play without those nice visible paddle holders on the courts. We watched players line their paddles all across the ground which seemed kind of unnecessary as those little holders could easily be purchased by parks and rec given how nice these courts appear to be. If there were paddle holders their either wasn't enough or they weren't easy to see given how many paddles were lined up across the floor. Again, not trying to be overly critical but this just seems like a really nice pickleball court and there are some small little upgrades that they could make to ensure this spot is more accessible and up to date. Otherwise, we really liked this area and would happily play here again, keeping these courts on my radar and liked the location from where we stay and the downtown area.
