Totally Satisfied!! I'm picky when it comes to projects in and around the house, and I finally found the perfect craftsman to handle the challenges. Brian from "BNL Home Improvement" just finished a complicated replacement and restoration of rotted siding along the entire back of the house. Brian and his crew appeared on time, finished on time, cleaned up meticulously, kept to the agreed upon budget, and most importantly did a phenomenal job. I selected BNL based on the consistency of their high ratings online, as well as the personal praises of several prior customers claiming BNL's excellent kitchen & bathroom remodels, and elaborate deck creations. Now it's my turn to join BNL's other satisfied customers and to eagerly spread the word. BTW, I'm already planning on additional projects for BNL to handle, knowing I won't need to shop around for anyone else. Based on "Job 1" exceptionally well done, BNL gets an A+ from this very satisfied customer. I expect nothing less from BNL for every new & exciting project ahead. J D Greif Annandale, NJ read more

We have had BNL here to do a lot of home improvements, which included most recently this year a fully renovated and rebuilt front porch. Brian had to put new concrete footings in which had to be dug in 4 feet by 2 feet wide and he put tubing down to hold the concrete. He knew exactly what he was doing and it turned out great with attractive new decking, front steps, several pillars, and railing. We are heartily enjoying the sturdiness and durability of this new improvement to our home. We watched the fireworks right from our new porch this year! In the past BNL has also put in two bathroom floors, hardwood floors in our living room, dining room, and den, all of which have greatly improved the value of our house. Other projects include the installation of a bathroom shower and a stylishly tiled kitchen backsplash. There would be no way to improve upon the quality of the work Brian has done. Whatever work we requested was done to specification. We are very happy!! read more

A remodeling project can turn into a nightmare. Not with BNL. I remodeled my bathroom and it was a wonderful experience. Brian took time to listen and understood what I wanted and needed. He spelled out carefully all the aspects of the job in writing. He included start to finish time expected. He was able to keep within those times. They got all materials and saved me from running everywhere. They were respectful of my home and never left a mess. It was a pleasire working with BNL who turned my bathroom into my vision. They are everything you want a company to be and very reasonable. You can't go wrong, unless you choose someone else. read more

They installed a new cast iron bathtub with the plumbing for me. I worried a lot how to squeeze the 300Lb tub in to the bathroom alcove but they did it without even one scratch to the walls or the tub. These people are real professionals. They came on time, finish fast, left the place spotless and did an excellent job for a fare price. I am planning to use them again for my future projects and I would recommend them to anybody. read more

Brian was nice enough, but, based on our conversation, his line of work is more "upscale". Meaning, my job was just repair work and the price was just way too high for what I was looking for. He was very up front about it, so, it shook hands and called it a day. All the best to BNL. read more

One of the worst contractors I've ever dealt with. Left a complete mess every time he left here. Didn't show up when promised. Worked about 5 hours a day and spent most of that time either outside smoking or watching his one worker do all the work. My ceilings that he painted are peeling and the paint is falling off. His spackle work is that of a two year old. Demanded 50% up front, never used the primer paint that he insisted we buy. Left two big spots without a second coat of paint and when I asked him to do it his response was "I wasn't hired to repaint a wall, if you want it done I'm charging you". Save yourself the aggravation and find someone else! He was told that if all this work went well my landlord would also give him work at the other 6 properties they owned. Needless to say he will never do work for them again! read more

I was looking to get french doors installed in the home office when I selected BNL home remodeling for the work at my home. Estimate was good and Brian explained everything in detail clearly. I was given an estimate of 8-10 weeks for the work to get completed with the primary factor being the lead time of 8 weeks for the delivery of the doors from the manufacturer. During initial couple of weeks, communication was somewhat okay. However, subsequent to that, mid-way about 4 weeks out before doors were to come in, I wanted to do a mid-point check-in to see if doors are on schedule or not and just to see how things are going. Since that day, I have been trying to get an answer for about 4+ weeks for this question and I have tried to follow up via email/phone/text/google chat quite a few times and there has been radio silence (not a single response). This has been a frustrating experience for me as I had paid sizeable upfront good faith deposit to get this work done and I am not sure if i would get it back at this point. I completely appreciate and would be sympathetic if there are delays outside of contractor's control and was willing to be flexible, however, complete lack of communication is very disappointing and is not acceptable. I have learnt a lesson for future to do proper vetting of future contractors that I would hire. I would not recommend BNL home remodeling given my recent with this firm. My wife and I asked BNL to do a kitchen and bath remodel for us on a tight timeline as we were planning to put our house up for sale due to relocation. Brian was responsive to our needs, and provided very reasonable pricing to refinish floor and install new countertops, backsplash, tile, sink and appliances. The work was completed efficiently with minimal disruption to our daily lives. At each step of the process, Brian was in close communication to help us pick out materials, obtain quotes, etc. so we could make sound decisions during the remodel. BNL also helped provide us with estimate of repair work for our home when the buyers requested credits after inspection. I would not hesitate to recommend BNL for home improvement needs! read more
